there have been several trade idea's for guys such as K-mart, boozer, or al harrington etc.. but we do have channing frye here right now. so im curious, if you could choose any of the mentioned possible guys to start next year at pf, who would it be? my vote is for Frye, he might not be as good as these other players right now, but his potential is higher than any of them. the best way for channing to improve is for him to start.

Frye but I wouldn't mind playing Al Harrington as a combo forward while Frye starts

frye is one of the WORST defensive frontcourt players i have ever seen wearing a knicks uniform. he's nowhere close to starting b/c of that. right now he's a 6th man and a 6th man ONLY.

he's a tweener actualy, brown has said before that he feels the team needs a guy who can play both positions, so i would expect either harrington or odom to be a major target in the off-season. i think al would probably start with channing though, as a 3.

this is what i'd like to see next season:

C - Curry / Butler / Big Turd
PF - Frye / Lee / Malik
SF - Harrington / Q Woods
SG - Q Rich / Crawford
PG - Francis / Nate

Frye should be our starting 4 next year. With his work ethic and attitude, I don't see how he would not improve on his defensive skills. Also, it seems Frye always gets caught trying to help on defense and his teammates does not rotate for him.
