Isiah Thomas admitted he once tried to kiss the woman who is suing him for sexual harassment on the cheek, but otherwise denied all other allegations Friday in a court document that paints his accuser as a vindictive money seeker.

Thomas, the Knicks' president of basketball operations, denies sexually harassing Anucha Browne Sanders, the team's former senior vice president of marketing and business operations, in an 11-page answer to Browne Sanders' complaint filed in Federal Court in Manhattan.

The only thing Thomas admits to is "that on or about December 15, 2005, Thomas greeted (Browne Sanders) by placing his hand on her shoulder and attempting to kiss her on the cheek," according to the document.

In copping to the apparently unsuccessful kiss attempt, Thomas was responding to a specific allegation made by Browne Sanders in her Jan. 24 lawsuit.

"On or about December 15, 2005," the lawsuit states, "Thomas approached Browne Sanders and hugged her and tried to kiss her. Browne Sanders pulled away and Thomas said, 'What I can't get any love from you today?' "

Thomas has twice publicly denied the allegations that he sexually harassed Browne Sanders, who was the team's highest-ranking female executive until she was fired on Jan. 19. Madison Square Garden contends she was fired for job performance issues; Browne Sanders said she was fired for reporting the alleged harassment to her superiors, including Garden President Steve Mills.
Thomas and Browne Sanders could not be reached for comment.
Madison Square Garden spokesman Barry Watkins refused to comment, as did Kevin Mintzer, one of Browne Sanders' lawyers.

Thomas' point-by-point refutation of the charges begins with an assertion that Browne Sanders is "a disgruntled former employee" who is suing "in order to... harm Thomas, whom she blames for her professional difficulties and secure an unwarranted sum of money from Thomas and MSG. Many of the allegations are without any factual support, and those that have any semblance of accuracy have been distorted."

o boy.....
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
