twice the speed not comparable players ive seen marcus play a few times in the last two weeks and he really has looks stupendous, as in near all star type level given PT. Since we need a PG, and the fact that he is UFA + 25 years old, very little wear and tear, plays great on the ball D and can penetrate at will, he must be given serious consideration for the 5 yr 32mm$

I agree with that, I've reccomended signing marcus banks this upcoming upseason as far back as december, but we dont really need a PG anymore. I guess we could still use one, but there are probably other positions we need more at this point.

Banks was unfairly benched in Boston. Dude is crazy fast and is stong. He's gonna be good and is already proving that. Funny that Boston needs a point guard now.....

Whats even funnier is NY doesn't need a point guard.

I hope Minnesota resigns him or he goes to a team that will let him start....like Atlanta....whew.....he would be like Mookie Blalock over there.

I remember fish saying that watson was not that good, I agreed with him on that point. But I like marcur Banks, he is young, missed most of last season I think with an injury, so he is young with little wear on those legs as you said, he is lighting quick and has decent size. I like him..

Earl Watson was way overrated. I can't believe the Sonics gave up Reggie Evans for Earl Watson.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

there are plenty of people on this board who were pining for the Knicks to get Earl Watson... i've always said he was overrated... a backup PG at best, undersized, not particularly great at orchestrating an offense, a pretty solid defender for his size, but not going to shut down any star players either... very quick off the dribble & a sparkplug type guy off the bench is what he is... we already have a guy like that named Nate Robinson, who i'd much rather see develop than to take on Earl Watson at MLE type dollars.

yeah, sonics got raped in that trade, maybe we really can swipe reshard lewis from them this summer, after all he has already said he will opt out.

the only proposals for Watson I remember involved getting rid of one or more of our garbage players

Actually, the proposals were to get rid of Marbury for Watson. Idiots.
