maybe they'd even throw in a 2nd round pick. we'd be saving them about 25 million dollars and they signed him before they got magloire at the C to solidify the frontcourt. they dont have much use for him anyway when he's getting 11 mins a night. the caproom will def help them out. what do u guys think?

why trade ending contracts for gadz? We have Butler and James and Frye who should play before gadz!

Gadzuric is way too little to get in return for an expiring contract. I think Jalen Rose and a 1st rd pick was the bare minimum and actually probably too little

so throw in a lottery protected pick. gadzuric is exactly who we need for these reasons: besides waste of life james, we dont have a big body to man the middle with some experience (frye and butler are 20 and 22) im talking about some real experience and playoff experience as well. he's 6'11 and a great role player who DOESNT EXPECT MINUTES AND STARDOM ATTENTION which is what is wrong with post of our players (see taylor as we speak). he has been producing great numbers given only 22 mins, were talking about 8 rebs and 1.36 blocks a game and he's young and not even injury or foul prone. we gotta go for the role players now to get the job done and dont advertise about it. whose with me?

I think that would be a great trade. I think Gadzuric is pretty underrated. He had an absolutely monster year last season rebounding the ball-- he was up there with Reggie Evans and Ben Wallace in terms of rebound rate. He's also a pretty good shotblocker, and all around is pretty efficient on the court-- low turnover, high fg% player.

The one thing that would give me pause is that his great rebounding year last season might just been a fluke or a contract year thing (he's come down to earth this season, so his rebound rate is just average, close to his first two seasons), but for the price of Mo's expiring contract I'd take a chance on him, definitely.

me too Tom. Perfect fit for this group. I've been harping on Reggie Evans but Gadz is the same kind of fit. Mil just locked him up and I have no idea why they would want to move him at this point? Salary dump? He only makes MLE type money so what are we offering for him?

why would they be in a rush to get rid of a good role player like Gadz? he's not making an exorbitant amount of money on his contract... maybe in '09 when his contract becomes a $7 million dollar cap hit, they'd be more inclined, but right now i don't see it... he gives them good value on the dollar.

They might want to move him b/c he's playing 11 minutes per and has been getting DNP's. He also makes about 36 mil over 6 years. Might not be cost effective to keep him.

Why in the world would the Knicks trade for Dan Gadz. when they just brought in Curry, and James THIS SEASON and still have Butler.

Oh, the madness

i don't think Joe Smith will be resigned past next season, so holding onto Gadz would probably be a good idea.

I agree. Dolan hinted that to the pess after he visited the team in Memphis.

Knicks should have paid Gadzuric the 5 million......Gadz is a freak of nature athletically.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I'm with the few that thing Gadz would be a very good fit here. However, we're not getting him, so we can cross him off the list of attainables.
