Fizer To Sign With Seattle?

Sonics Central - Sonicscentral has recieved an unconfirmed report that the Sonics will sign Marcus Fizer to a 10-day contract tomorrow.

Fizer currently plays for the Austin Toros in the NBDL and is averaging 20.3 ppg on 51% shooting from the field. He was named the NBDL Player of the Month last month.

same. Lets hope he can keep it up in Seattle. It rains a lot out there and that can make you soft. We have Lee here anyway, which would just have fizer doing nada.

I know buit I am realistic about what Fizer would bring and his role here...he would be an end of the bench player, maybe at 6-10 play the C spot a little, a little PF...teach some defense...

wow, i didn't realize Marcus grew 3 inches over the past year... i wonder why Isiah didn't pick him up?

You're right he's listed at 6-8....but he is big....maybe some spot duty like I said at PF/C as a defender...although 6-8 is a little tiny.

he's around Malik's height i would say... not a small guy though at 260 lbs... he's athletic for his size, but i don't think he's what this team needs... this team needs to play Frye & Lee as much as possible the rest of the year.

in a roster of 14, where nate is on IR, you want to add another player to the mix NOW? especially with lee not getting minutes either?

I thought defense was Fizer's stronger point. And I am also realistic about his position...he is an end of the bench player that will bring some girth and defens eoff the bench when we need him and maybe teach the kids a little about D.

Agreed. Poor choice. Doesn't address any of the problems this team needs to fix. Next...
