I'm hardly ready to give up with Frye as a 4- he's a rookie and a lot has to do with learning, recognition, etc.

But, I would love to see Frye and Lee up front for stretches of a game.

Still, a lot was invested in Curry for him not to either start there or play a lot of minutes there (30).

if he doesn't get stronger he has value as a 6th man backing up the 4 and 5.

we dont even have a system yet. Center on the Suns and center on the Cavs are two very different positions. Do we even know what kind of BB team we are?

Frye doesn't have the lateral quickness to play the 3, or the size to play the 5 (it might be different if he was an excellent shotblocker, but he isn't that either)... he's best suited at the 4 so you can take advantage of his perimeter jumper to extend the offense & give you the option of playing him inside & outside on different plays.

I think Frye would be great playing next to someone like Okafor, who could make up for some of Frye's deficiencies. The problem with Curry, is on defense, Curry is more deficient than Frye. On offense, I think Frye is versatile enough that he could succeed at the 3, 4 or 5.

the perfect teammate for Frye would be Bogut imho... good passing bigman who can play defense, block shots, bang down low & has a very high basketball IQ.

a Brad Miller would be perfect too.

I also agree with that. Some high IQ players with an all around game would be nice. I think the main thing is we need someone who can defend and rebound, since Frye is weak in these areas.

I'd want a quick PF/C who can block and alter shots and play good help defense. Big Ben would be ideal but a cheaper option would be guys like Stro Swift, Steven Hunter, Eddie Griffin.

but why? Frye's not really a fleetfooted guy... it's better to have a guy who plays smart, solidify the d inside & makes good passes out of the low post when he gets double teamed... that would take advantage of Frye's strengths, & not accentuate his weaknesses.

btw, please, no Steven Hunter or Stromile Swift... both guys have zero basketball IQ... we need players who know how to play the game & make smart decisions when they get the ball.

Who's gonna intimidate opponents' guards when they penetrate? I mentioned Stro and Hunter as extremely cheap options. Obviously I'd take Bogut over them if a team offered me the chance to have any one of the three, but I'd prefer a shot-blocker without Hunter's or Stro's deficiencies over Bogut. Maybe Dalembert if he were available.

not interested at all in Hunter or Stro... i'd love to trade for Dalembert... i'd offer up Curry & Nate for him if i could... i doubt Philly would be interested in Curry though w/his heart condition & all.
