IF you look into MArbury's track record, he spends at at least 2 to 3 seasons with a team then gets traded..

minny '96 -'99, NJ '99 - 01, Pho '01-'03, NY 03'- current..

The team that trades marbury ends up doing a whole lot better the following yr without him

minny next yr winds up with a 50 -32 record in '99-'00 season/ replacement: Terrell Brandon. damn, remember him??

New Jersey ends up with a 50 - 32 record in '01-02 season/replacement:Jason Kidd

Phoenix ends up with a 62 -20 record in '04 - 05.. best in NBA!! replacement: Steve Nash

New york needs to trade Marbury by this summer and watch them win 50 games next season and make the playoffs.

The facts and statistics are there.. Everytime he leaves a team, they end up doing a whole lot better without him..
I think Larry Brown insisted in Francis who will be able to play the 1 or 2 position next yr and they will look into a defensive, savvy, play the right way, floor leader pg this summer..

TRADE MARBURY!!!!!

^ lol.

There are no defensive, savvy, play the right way, floor leader PG's available man.

But I agree with everything else.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

The teams that improved when Marbury left only improved because they replaced him with better point guards. Kidd and Nash.

^ Agreed.

I guess if we do trade him, we need to have some sorta plan in sight.

it's not the answer and it would make mck1 the happiest man on the planet but if we do trade steph, then we could possibly swap nate for ridnour.

chris Duhorn from the bulls.. don't know his availabilty... floor general, great passing skills with a good attitude.. not looking to score.. he listens and fundamentally sound.. not a great athlete but that's not everything..

speedy claxton from new orleans= plays with heart. decent floor general quick hands and feet.. not a good shooter though..

^ Duhon's a poor man's Charlie Ward man.

Speedy is barely 6 foot. You willing to pair him with 6-3 Francis?

Ridnour is hardly a floor general, and plays ZERO defense.

Oh....and also --- why would the Bulls trade Duhon, no less to NY?

floor generals are hard to find, but getting a guy in there that's willing to pass first more than anything will help WHILE CONTINUING to search for a floor general. but the first step is removing the problem.

last yr, the bulls won 50 games with a rotation of duhorn, hinrich and gordon in the backcourt. all below 6'4

Oh....and also --- why would the Bulls trade Duhon, no less to NY?
why, to get frontcourt help

i would not say duhon's a poor man charlie ward.. charlie could not run the fast break consistently... duhorn , a duke alumni is a smarter and knowlegable player than charlie..

I'm sure Isiah is willing to ante up the 2008 pick to the Bulls with out any protection, for Duhon. We've been raped twice by the Bulls, and no one called the police. I'm sure they would love to come back again!

TKF its more about moping and playing like a bonehead. Francis can do that.
If you get something for him.. a pick and cap relief.. why not?
