steph was really proving to me that he wanted to be traded by his negative body language and his horendous game performances. but then he plays like this out of no where?!?

for a person with that much talent, you would think they should not be this inconsistent and also be more of a leader like he was last night.

i also listened to his post game interview on msgnetwork.com and he was basically very nonchalant about the idea that he played differntly last night than any other night. what the hell is his problem? he just doesnt seem to realize he has been plaing like **** lately....

steph puts up an 0-7 in orlando and looks beat. isiah had to call him out in public. he woke up.

steph gets hurt. is out a long time. comes back and puts up some stinkers. announcers say his shoulder is still banged up as recent as monday. then dolan makes his speech and marbury's shoulder miraculously heals and plays like a hall of famer.

reminds me of vince carter in toronto, no?

dude got the skill but he's all about self.

some guys just don't have the mental makeup. Everyone has played pickup basketball or soccer or volleyball or baseball or whatever and noticed some guy that is a thousand times more talented than everyone else around, but that guy just won't put in the energy or just plays AND1 style or decides he can smoke some weed just before the game cause it's just too damn easy.

And for the rest of us who would kill just to be out there, it's a damn shame. Damn shame.

at some point you have to start to consider taking away the team captain position from him, if its hasnt been taken already.

those guys were real leaders, real captains

I would separate Houston from those guys. As good as he was for us, he wasn't a leader by any means. He did his job which was too shoot the ball while others like spree, camby, & KT worked their butts off defending and rebuilding

I agree with guns. Substitue Houston with Oakley and get a biger picture for Ewing. I think Stephon just needs to play with heart night in and night out. The kinda heart Starks played with.

Vince never puts up 15 assist games. On the court it doesn't look like it's all about self for Marbury. I don't know what goes on off the court, though.

Marbury was injured. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he's finally healthy from here on out and can win us a LITTLE respect the rest of the way. Start by beating the Bulls.

Houston was a leader, he led by example, was a professional, just because he didn't beat his chest and yell after every basket does not mean he was a leader. LJ was a hell of a player, so was Ewing....

Because LB keeps F'ing with him. LB needs to let these guys play uninhibited by his control issues and we will begin to see what we have.

lets let Marbury go off again. Maybe we can win 37games again and make the playoffs and get swept and embarassed by the Nets in the 1st round

larry brown has been doing nothing but sing praises about how steph has improved, how is that messing with him? i dont feel that that shoulder injury should be an excuse either, he just wants the season to end so he can be in more music videos and go vacation.

what is so hard to pass the ball to the open man, and use ur incredible talent to get to the hole and finish? keep ur head up and be a general?

if he keeps going like this i say we trade him and maybe draft D. Brown with our last 1st round pick.

i'd even be happy if Steph was as good a leader as Charlie Ward was... he's got all the talent, & none of the leadership qualities that a star player ought to have... unless you're a superstar like Allen Iverson, you can't go around acting like you're better than everyone else on the team... how about setting an example for the younger guys to follow? listen to the coach, stop pointing fingers at your teammates, & start bustin' your butt playing some defense.

I don't know..but Q1 gives me some leadership vibes. I think Frye will be a leader in the near future. Ewing was a leader by example. LJ was the ultimate captain.
