I know that there have been a lot of these already, but one thing to now realize is that when it comes to next season, Larry and Isiah are here to stay. Obviously Isiah doesnt want to give up his young players, which is the right way to think, but for now we also clearly need defensive minded vets who brown will like and actualy coach "the right way".
so heres the plan:
Trade 1

Nuggets trade:
kenyon Martin
ruben patterson

Knicks trade:
Jalen Rose
first round pick

trade 2:

Memphis trades:
eddie jones
brian cardinal
damon stoudemire

Knicks trade:
stephon marbury
maurice taylor

trade 3

washington trades:
jared jeffries
antonio daniels

knicks trade:
quentin richardson

trade 4

atanta trades:
josh childress

new york trades:
jamal crawford

sign evans with the midlevel

pg steve francis/antonio daniels/nate robinson
sg eddie jones/josh childress
sf ruben patterson/david lee/jared jeffries
pf kneyon martin/reggie evans/brian cardinal
c eddy curry/channing frye

trade 1: both martin and patterson are known for their defense and martin is still a young veteren. I am not really a fan of martin coming here due to his knee's but with frye his minutes can be limited as well as curry's so channing will still play. jalen has no future here so losing him doesnt hurt. denver does it for cap space in 07 and jalen actualy fills need, they can sign back nene to replace kmart.

trade 2: jones gives defense, shooting, and veteren leadership. one of our two scoring guards needs to go and its marbury for chemistry reasons. memphis needs a scorer and a pg, marbury fills both. they are already loaded at sg anyway so losing eddie doesnt really hurt them, we also give them cap relief with taylor and taking on cardinal and stoudemire (who in the plan gets waived)

trade 3: chad posted this trade in his plan to fix the knicks. hes an idiot but this trade makes sense. they need a sg and Q1 fits their style of play, for us this adds defense and is addition by subtraction. daniels hasnt played well there so its a bad salary swap.

trade 4: childress provides potential at swingman and is a better fit with fracis than crawford. due to atlanta being under the cap, the trade is possible.

these deals give us the vets larry needs and defensive players, as well as offensive balance. there is no sacrifice to the youth movement and yes, larry should be happy.

its been a really boring night so i thought id post this and see what you all thought.

notice i said when it comes to next season, with any other franchise you would be right, but dolan is not going to fire him until mid-next year at the earliest.
