I think Jackie is doing just fine and getting his chances.

Lets not get too far ahead after each good game he plays.

He can go 15-20 per night and gives us options.

He is a solid backup for now and might emerge even better.

With Jerome james on the payroll this presents a problem.

Jackie might be good trade fodder if Jerome can give us some quality minutes.

I like the kid and he was a great pick up for us. I would prefer to keep him if at all possible.

Jackie Butler reminds me of Armon Gilliam. Big head and all.

I like the fact that Jackie layed out Eddie Jones because he had the hot hand. This teams NYK spirit has been gutted by Layden/Zeke - seems like Jackie remembers what it means to play as a Knick.

Check the official predraft measurements. With shoes on, butler measured 6'9.5"

well if that is the case, then they are wrong with the heights of curry, zaza pachulia, frye and everyon else. Butler looked long and tall. It was funny, the atlanta fans sitting behing me, were impressed with butler, they were saying he would start for their team right now....LOL..I was happy to see one of our kids cherished by others..

You guys need to relax with this Jackie Butler stuff. He's a back up as best PERIOD. No he should not be starting over Curry. He scored 8pts on 8 shots last night. Your shot attempts and points should never coincide.

If that 8 points in 8 shots is 4/8 shooting for a 50% FG%, I will take it from any player we have.
This is the Randle.

I ask why so-called "most knowledgable" fans NEVER have the patience for young players to devlop in New York?

Jackie is 20, gets limited minutes where he is generally productive, and here is someone who already sets his ceiling as a backup.

I suppose Channing Frye and David Lee are career stiffs as well

Ask this question big beast, if Jackie Butler were averaging a solid double-double in his junior year at Tennessee, would he be the celebrated first rounder Larry Brown described him as?

Would he have suitors around the NBA?

>>But why does no one talk about the fact that he is FAT for an NBA player.

Bonn - fat for an NBA player? Have you ever seen Jackie up close. He's not fat. Just a different body type than your prototypical perfect image.

Some guys are just not "cut". That does not translate into being "fat".

I bet he has at least 15 if not 18% body fat and would be a better player at 10%

I gotta give love to my boy Jackie...I guess that start Butler suggestion wasn't so bad in that other thread. Anywho, you all know where I stand with Jackie at this point, he is a much better fit with this first team, I think, than Curry.
