The knicks are already set for next year at both pf and center with channing and eddy. I was thinking maybe a good trade to try and fix the backcourt could be marbury to memphis for eddie jones. jones is in the last year of his deal, plays defense and can shoot the ball and could be a very good fit with francis. He is also a veteren who brown will like. while we loose out on talent in this trade, its the kind of deal this team has to start making. the knicks need no more "stars" but people who will play their role and work hard on the court. Memphis needs a pg and steph could actualy really work there.
thoughts?

I agree, we need players who are vets and have specific skill sets. But as far as NYK having stars - I think that title is reserved for the likes of Kobe, Shaq, KG, Duncan, Lebron etc. Do you think we have anyone on this roster who is up there with them? We dont have a single player that can carry a team or oozes charisma.

we dont have any superstars but we do have all-stars in francis and marbury, and potential ones in curry and frye. talent is not the problem with this team, chemistry and lack of real role players is the problem. you dont need a superstar to win in this league as the pistons have proved. we simply have too many parts that do one thing and none that play defense or are consistent shooting from the outside.
