I don't recall ever seeing Red coach players that didn't fit his system.

What was his system? Defense? How about Earl Monroe? Henry Bibby?Cazzie Russell? He utilized their talents to fit his system.
He was a great coach.

you took some of those players right out of my mouth. And utilized indiviual talent to a uniques degree like Phil Jackson guarding the inbound pass late in the game and bench players to commit fouls.

different times require different motivation tehniques. Maybe LB realizesthat embarassment may be a motivation technique. Maybe he is saying prove me wrong. What motivates a man whose has a long term guaranteed contract if he is not driven to team success like Duncan or Patrick or MJ.

Larry is Silly

The only thing of value he owns is minutes.

By playing the entire roster at random, he has effectively killed any team cohesiveness AND made minutes meaningless commodities

C'mon, outside of an EXHIBITION game, when has ANYONE heard any NBA coach starting a player because he was from that city?

If Don Chaney tried that, what would be the reaction in the press?

Riley.

It's always said that the great coaches adapt their system to the players they have rather than the other way around.

Brown has demonsrated that he is not a truly great coach.

LMAO! I cannot believe this....The ONLY reasons Pat Riley made the Knicks better and adapted to a defensive minded system was cuz IRONICALLY he had DEFENSIVE players...Coincidence right? I mean last time I check Mason knew what defense was, Oakley knew how to grab a defensive rebound and Ewing could actually stretch his arm out and not be lazy and block shots. Starks knew that defense was not a sin on the perimeter. The way Crawford plays defense it is almost like he is handicapped. So I dont want to hear nor read that Larry Brown doesn't know how to adapt to this system cuz last time I checked in order to run an up and down offense you have to collect rebounds and play defense...two words that do not exist in these current Knicks' vocabulary. Shame on Knicks fans for wanting Larry Brown gone. I hope Larry quits then ya can have some bum ass coach that is going to let the players run over him and do what the hell they want. SHAME ON YA! You know what for all the Larry Brown haters I hope Isiah becomes the coach. Remember the last time that bum was a coach for a team???? Indiana was an underachieving team. Is that what ya want?

He was a great coach.

Earl adapted his game to the Knicks' offense. Cazzie and Bibby provided instant offense. The Knicks relied on a helping, team defense (see the ball, see the man), and having Willis, at least while he was healthy, to block shots and clog the middle.
