First of all it was in the New York Post. Second, I think Wally wants to play in New York but he if McHale gives him the extension he wants he will take it. If you read the article closely, he never says, I have to play in New York. He says it one of the places he would like to play. It is just a ploy by him to get the maxium extension from Minny. If he really wanted to come to New York he probably would not tell the papers just yet.
