Frank Isola just suggested that possibility on 1050... if they cant trade him he thinks it will be a possibility since money is not an option... what a blow that would be to stephs career and his ego... he would drop 50 on us everytime he played against us with the Rockets lol

Yeah, and if the Knicks RELEASE Stephon Marbury, then I wont even watch the games. That's what it's coming down to. Who the f' releases their star players?

I dont't think that they would release him but that sure is a straight sign that all are unhappy with him. Consider it a warning.

Of course Isola could have been talking to an MSG cafeteria staff and would consider that a good enough source.

i dont think steph is completely untradable... it doesnt make sense to just release him. if you are going to release anyone, it should be JJ, Malik, JC.

That is an utterly ridiculous idea. We'd still be paying his contract, so that would make no sense whatsoever.

I don't care how promising the Knicks MAY look, I'm not buying one ticket next season. This franchise is putrid. As the MSG Poster Rodent would say: "We are swine."

One month ago - Stephon "got it" playing for Larry. He looked f'g good out there. He led the team to wins.

Talk of throwing Steph under the bus is some mad stupid s**t IMO.

I don't think Steph is the problem. Despite reports to the contrary, I think Steph is one of Larry's guys now. Steph has the type of persona that has driven many fans and teamates alike to hate him. So it's no surprise that a crazy suggestion like this would be made by the media. Unless there is a no brainer trade on the table, I think Steph will be here next year and I think he can be part of the Knicks success.

Steph is absolutely untradeable. When are you guys going to realize that no other team in the NBA wants any part of this guy - he's born loser.

6 wins brought the season total to 13 wins by mid-January.

why continue the failed Stephon Marbury experiment?

Hawks have beaten the Spurs Pistons Pacers and Nets this season. Does that signify all is right with Atlanta?

I posted before I saw your response. I agree 100%. If LB has done anything this year, he's re-made Marbury. Listen to Marbury's post-game comments. He's talking about the same things Larry talks about:

Steph has not been the problem this year.

Have you heard a Jamal Crawford interview? without the pressure of actually having to go out and perform, he sounds like he gets it as well.

Steph recently was quoted as saying "lets not run any plays."

Getting this lousy **** off the team and the guy who brought him here for the start of a newer smarter era in NY basketball.

FOr Asshola to even mention the possiblity might have some legs to it. Even beat writer has some cred to maintain!

Hows this, Send Steph away for a while to heal. Get him away to deal with his fabricated "personal issues" and his shoulder.

Release him makes no sense, but if he is all not about the team then its addition by subtraction.

Lets say its him or larry?

I'd give them a lot of credit if they did somthing that ballsy!

We have no clue whats going on. Maybe there was a blow up and Marbs just went off on Larry and now Isiah is not there to pick up the pieces for him. There might be lots of crap we have no idea on!

Maybe its a steriod thing. Marbs gets a dose and baddabing, hes done for the season! Might explain his grumpy attitude.

What drama! This is better than most tv shows!

I agree. He was playing good D and doing everything good. The team was playing much better. Now Steph is real injured, and it's taken a tailspin. ANd now we are placing the blame on Steph again.

I have to agree with Francessa. He said today they should just realease all the players with the exception of Frye, Lee, Nate, Woods, and Butler. Dolan has to pay all these guys anyway, might as well pay them to leave. He also said to fill the rest of the roster up with CBA guys who would cherish the oppourtunity to play for the Knicks and Larry Brown and want to make a name for themselves. CBA guys are coachable, except have less talent, great fit for Larry Brown. Atleast us fans would get 100% effort every night instead of this crap players pull. Would the Knicks win any games? who knows, I'd just be happy to see them putting forth effort and knowing fullwell that the Knicks were actually rebuilding.

funny thing is i always hear the arguement that you cant rebuild in NY

BULL!!!

im willing to be patient for a rebuilding franchise....getting frye, lee, robinson, woods and butler isnt rebuilding when you have marbs, curry, craw and q....that is why i dont share his vision

I beginning to think you can't rebuild in NY.

Short of winning Ewing on that draft lotto, and we never got a ring anyway, its been a disaster for the better part of 33 years.

just to make it clear this is not MY idea i was just reporting what i heard Frank Isola say.......... I do not think steph is tradable at all no1 will take that contract except maybe a team like houston that could use a point gaurd but all we will get back is over paid trash... i say stick with him but if he is really this big of a cancer on the team maybe they need to have a team meeting or a sit down with him
