as it stands now though, even with this meeting that dolan has called, there are now indications that Isiah will be fired this week, but if he is I would kill myself if we get another starphuck type of GM, like isiah was.

but if he really does get fired this week than

Kiki Vandeweigh
David Morway
Mark Warkentien
Ed Stefanski
Chris Wallace
Wayne Cooper
Milt Newton
Russ Granik

are some people we could look at.

F THAT. hire my ass. i'd hire mister.earl as the PR guy. briggs as draft consultant. and bonn as "rent boy".

tomorrow i'll be going to church for 2 reasons:

a) Ash Wednesday, yes i am catholic.

b) pray to the lord Assiah gets fired by the end of the week..

Be a good soul and pray for one more thing will you? The transplants that are so badly needed for the team.

You know, the heart, brain and balls for each of the Knick players.
Oh, of course.. i must add that to the list..

TV guys always sound good AFTER a decision is made!

I can see larry Throwing in the towel as its impossible to unravel this mess and him work with this collection of players. Give him some hush money.

On the other hand, that will be 4 coaches in 27 months! That would reflect very badly on the GM! No way they can keep any level of respect and keep Isiah on the books.

My Guess? Larry takes some time off to "heal" and will return. Isiah makes it thru the season.

OR, Isiah gets the boot, Larry either remains in the chair, or stays home but plays GM to get the roster correct and tries again next season.

This team has given up and larry has lost the team. But if the team is to be changed, then let larry take a leave of some sort.

I freakin' love Emeka. What is his injury this year? It's something other than his back, isn't it?

Taken from the RealGM board:

Some candidates to consider off the top of my head:

* Kiki Vandeweghe (DEN) - Probably the best available candidate for this kind of job. He successfully did the rebuilding thing in Denver. He got rid of bad contracts and brought in players that fit his philosophy of hard work and emphasis on team chemistry.

* David Morway (IND) - The VP of basketball operations in Indiana. Almost landed the Cleveland job last summer, before pulling out (I think). He's paid his dues on every level. He got to learn from one of the best in the business in Donnie Walsh. Is very well versed on everything from scouting to the finances and framwork of the cap, and working within it.

* John Hammond (DET) - Joe Dumars' assistant and right hand man. He's turned down offers from the Blazers and Raptors before. It was rumored that he was the Raptors 1st choice when they hired Babcock. He comes from a great organization that emphasizes character, chemistry and hard work. He's also worked with Larry Brown before so it could be an easy transition.
