hey Bonn 1997 go fish me out my posts on ryan gomes prior to last years draft may-june period 2006

this is why you dont want to pay billions of dollars for guys like al harrington and kenyon martin you let guys like Frye and lee PLAY BIGGER minutes and give them a chance over a period of games.

we're already paying billions of dollars for Marbury... no one said let's give up Frye or Lee for either one of those guys, but if we can unload someone like Marbury or Crawford for them, i do it.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I think Briggs is merely pointing out its better policy to find guys like Gomes or Lee who produced in college and give them minutes, rather than tossing multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts at a guy like KMart or Al Harrington.

Briggs, go look up my post, I mentioned getting ryan gomes as opposed to going after the overrated Bobby simmons, and you laughed....

Big Smooth-dead on. My point was you cant give 10mm to every player. You have to rely on the draft as much as you try to get a KG. You get guys like Gomes or Frye and you play them big minutes for many consecutive games--by burying them and going after every max contract is wrong.

Totally right on. Not to mention the fact that we had our best hustle, team buy-in and record when Larry 'gave up" and gave Nate, dlee and Frye big minutes.
