I dont care what I have to do to get him, thats the first building block I want put it. He ha soem Oakley in him, he's in tip top shape, hes the most advanced post player in the draft, hes the best defensive player in the draft-he comes froma great program--hes a building block

I like him. You think he'll go higher than top 10? top 5, maybe? he's a little short so I could see him slipping to the 8-12 range, we could probably trade up to there by packaging the two picks and maybe Nate or Qrich.

I agree with what Briggs said: you tell Larry this is a full rebuild, if you have the patience to be the coach/teacher for these kids, here's the kids we're bringing in. If not, thanks for coming by, you are in breach of your contract.

The problem with Larry is if he wasn't so stubborn he would love what a guy like Shelden brings to the game. But Larry doesn't understand kids can play in this league and that probably 6 of the top 10 players in the league are under 25.

With 2 first round picks and young players like Robinson, we might be able to trade up in the draft and get a pick in the 6-10 range...

if larry's smart enough....he starts giving major minutes to the kids. reasons why we lost the season and not have a 20 game winning streak? hey we're playing rookies.

I said this in a post a week or two before the deadline and got killed! My idea was to stike a deal with Seattle or Portland using Channing Frye to get their lottery pick, then turn it into Shelden Williams or Rodney Carney OR wait until half the draft is over and we know who selected who then look to make a deal for either of those two guys with whatever team. Williams or Carney, admittedly different players altogether, would be a better fit on the Knicks as currently constructed than Frye. No question in my mind. And btw, there's no way we even smell another team's lottery pick if we're not willing to include Frye in a deal, let's be honest. We can't have our cake and eat it too. You gotta give up something to get something. We'll see what happens on draft night!

Shelden reminds me of Tyrone Hill. But maybe b/c both will have been the ugliest player in the NBA at some point.

Actually if you are gonna draft Sheldon you have no use for Curry, meaning you can trade Curry and the 2 picks, which would probably mean you can move much higher than 6-10 picks, but then you can draft a better player than Sheldon...Briggs, I don't watch college bball but I do alot of scouting research on the internet and Sheldon was one of those players i liked last year, lunch pail attitude and all..

Would you trade Curry for a pick to get Sheldon? Doing that you would have to move Frye to center...How about Curry and a pick for a top 3 an we draft Alderidge? Or should we stay where we are at with the picks and grab Hilton Armstrong, or Boone?

Briggs, you think Boone can play center?

Curry only goes once Isiah goes...
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I think Curry has extremely low trade value. I don't think he and his $60 mil contract will help you move up even one spot in the draft unless he has an unbelievable finish to the season.

Dude, have you ever even seen him play? Williams is a beast, plays great D, and doesn't resemble Sweetney in the least. He has a 7 foot wingspan, and is in great shape. If we could get rid of Curry I'd say we should move Frye to the 5 trade our 2 #1's for a higher #1 and draft Shelden.

Sweetney has a 7'1" wing span; Ariza's is 7'2". 7'0" is below average for an NBA PF.
