I really like what Francis brings to the table. He can play the pick and roll really good, rebound and run the break. As soon as he learns the playbook other teams better watchout. When Steve pushes the ball it will be hard for other teams to setup their defense.

And last but not least, Francis plays hard every night and he gets along with his teammates.

Steve welcome to the Knicks.

I liked how he played. I think he was a bit tentative but he still played hard. There's something obviously wrong with Marbury. I'm not sure if it's his shoulder or just his timing. I suspect both and fear that it won't get better all year.

I like Francis. I don't know if he can work with Marbury, but I like Francis.

one thing franchise does that crawford didn't seem to get (and nate for that matter) get to the rim and get the bucket or go to the line.

why crawford is scared of the paint is beyond me, but he's gone...no question about it, he's gone.

I could even envision a curry, crawford and somebody else for garnett.

but crawford no longer even brings to the table what he was good at...he's done...look at the replays, it's funny how he's standing at behind the arc and franchise doesn't even look at him and either hits the jumper or get's to the hole.
all kool aid all the time.

I liked what I saw from him. REALLY liked. I would like to see a 3 guard rotation of Marb, Francis and Q. JC can sit.

yeah, I'd rather see Nate get 15 minutes a night than Crawford. Craw is useless without shots. Nate attacks the hoop and attacks on D.

the weird thing is that in the beginning of the year Crawford was attacking with the midrange stop and pop, and now that is completely gone.

Francis has been up and down his whole career. And I'm not talking about stretches...I'm talking about *entire seasons*. That fact scares me about him enough to be really reluctant to trade Marbury even if Steve plays great for the rest of this season.

It was just the first game of the Francis era but what I noticed was whenever Francis got aggressive the team went on a run. When Francis was pushing it the rest of the team started going.....Marbs was looking to go....Rose was looking to go....it was like a "oh Sh it!" moment. The team really did look alot different.

All signs point to Craw being traded. Knicks right now need a guy that can knock down the open jumper. That guy is supposed to be Q-Rich....I guess the Knicks have to wait for him to find his range. His legs are back and I guess he's in shape now....he just has to find his range....when Q-Rich finds his range.....

WTF? Why don't someone take him to Sears and just but him one?

Yeah because Larry has had him playing point guard...He wants him to pass the ball and not shoot....Have you guys been paying attention or not?

I think Jamal playing out of position is really getting to him.

1) He is no longer starting
2) He is playing out of position
3) He knows no matter how hard he plays he will be traded at the end of the day

All this things are reasons why there is decline in Jamal's game.

People will see that Francis is a player that brings high energy and loves to encourage his teammates when they are down. Hopefully he is here for the long run.

francis will make a huge difference here....just like steph did when he first got here and bdiddy did when he first got to golden state. then after 2 months and a summer, it kind of started getting WORSE.

it's been one game. let's see how this plays out before we say what francis can and can't do here.

I would also like to see them stick around. Did anyone else noticed that Francis kept on moving around without the ball while the rest of the team was standing still?
