I think if that team wins you a championship (wouldn't have to be next season but somewhere in the near future) then yes, it is justified.
If not, then we would have been better off rebuilding when Isiah first took over the job and using the draft and FA to do so.
I want a championship. I will be happy to see any Knicks team get to the conference finals or even playoffs at this point, but the goal ever sinec Isiah took over has been a championship. Therefore, not winning a championship is failure.
