Im concerned that we didnt get rid of Crawfish in this deal--thats the way I *thought* it would go down. Im not going to cry sending off an ending contract+Ariza for Francis, like I said it may have been the less of all evils--its doesnt fulfill any of our needs, but its a talent upgrade over crawfish. Darius Miles wouldve made better sense, but not at the expense of taking Ratliff and giving them the denver pick. Kenyon Martin way to risky i have no idea what else was possible, but i think that there was a bunch of teams asking for ending contract+Frye for their *star dump*. Atleast in this case we really gave up little.

Now, Im of the opinion we have way to many guys--to much fat on the roster--and would like to explote OUR own ending contract deals--CAN WE get rid of Crawfish to the Lakers for George? Phil has said he like crawfish and an ending contract deal might be attractive to them--and attractive to us. I dont think keeping crawfish at his $ with the thought the he will be a part of something that yields a shawn marion type player--it isnt happening. dump him for 0

Would Portland bite on something like Crawford+ Denver's no.1 for Miles?

Portland is heavy on the athletic SF types in the pipeline (Outlaw, Khyrapa, Monia) and light on SG's and even PG.

Briggs-I agree with you that the roster is too deep but believe the brass knows that too. Now the trick is to turn the depth into a few less "players" and more prospets and picks.

Huh? Have you seen the guy play lately? The player he's been the last 2 years is far above the player he was at the start of his career. He's a legit, long atheltic SF who can play D, blocks shots, get some steals. And his offensive game is developing...he still doesn't have a great J, but he's starting to hit the baby midrange J. He brings a lot of skills to the table that we don't have on the perimeter.

My concern with him is injury. He's been banged up a little the last couple years.

Whose gonna take Crawful and that contract? Portland is trying to dump salary, plus they have enough small guards (Juan, Telfair, Blake, etc)

Plus its highly unsual for a GM (except Isiah) to trade a small for a big. Trading Craw for another guard at this point makes no sense. Francis presence will decrease Craw's minutes and value. We might be screwed!

"Man, who knows with this team." Aguirre.

our best bet to move JC is to Portland or Denver. It would be nice to send JC to one, and Qrich to the other.
