he looks like he is 4-5 inches smaller than shaq, he didnt know wtf to do--he's become boring hes a better version of jahidi white, nothing much more.

i dont mind steve francis but this team's best bet was to continue on the path with draft picks maybe get a few guys out with ending contracts etc... way way way to much fast on this roster

nothing we can do about it, no shotblocking, very little defense steve francis will give us a boost, I think, but it wont overcome our D, our terrible fundamentals, our lack of heart-drive
the only guys that have heart and are worthy are lee and Frye--everyone else scks including curry curry is no winning type player. hes a guy who can dunk on teams with no pivot

hahahaha....

oh boy, here we go...

he is who he is 14 points 5 rebounds no d, very little IQ out there. i dont think they have taught him what a pass is, what a pick is ==>its EDDY dunk the ball--- dunk it hard eddy.

Guys numbers are the same as 4 years ago, no change no improvement

he'll be 24 next year maybe by that time we will know we have a 14 and 5 pivot

The Knicks don't have the brainiest guys out there... we have a lot of players with big hearts with great athleticism/skills, but no brains.

You see a lot of the same qualities in other really bad teams--- like Atlanta. Lots of out of these world athletes who jump and give their 110%... but can't execute--- and can't react when their first (and second) options are taken away from them.

The solution? Well... we picked up a killer 1-on-1 player, a guy who while on Houston could put a whole team on his back and carry them to... .500 records.

i was there tonight and I have to agree. Eddy looked lost, disinterested, and completely out-classed. Even his offensive game was extinct. He indeed looked like he was 2 inches smaller than Shaq. It was hard to know at the time, but we probably overpaid for him.

How can you play in this league 5 years and not understand what a pass is? How to set a pick? Why was he letting Shaq sit in the lane? He weighs 300 himself, can he try to move him off a tad? He has only 1 basic skill--close -range shots. If he gets a rebound or a block shot, its because the ball landed on him, instead of him going out and getting it.

as for Eddy being lost- I suspect a lot of this has to do with the LB effect- LB's supporters say he is breaking them down to make them better- critics say he is ruining there game.

That said, and allowing for some 'LB effect', his playing is worrying. I was never in favor of trading sweetney. Sweetney, even though he hasn't developed like many- me included- thought, would have been a nice role player on the team, especially when you consider we are getting a top three pick this year.

Curry hasn't even been the player he was last year with Bulls. I remember seeing a much more versatile offensive game with an array of post moves and even some range the last couple of years. I wanted to get him b/c he showed flashes of being a completely unstoppable offensive talent. He's had times this year where his physical ability has been too much for the opponent, but not really the flashes he showed last year.

I don't really get it. Every one of these players has given some indication at some point this year that they were turning the corner (Crawford, the rookies, Qyntel etc.), but they just haven't been able to sustain it.

I like that and totally agree. Craw has regressed a lot. Curry is nowhere. Frye looks completely lost at times. Maybe Brown was aiming for next year anyway.

Curry is awful he will never be a star in this league. 16-7 will be his limit b/c he has no heart.
I want to leave something that's going to stand for a long timeI want to leave a legacy,I want to leave tradition.I want to leave an imprint,a blueprint in terms of how people play, and how they coach and how they respond when they put on the Knick uni.

Shaq looked good...and he's the most dominant player in the nba when he wants to be.

I thought there were flashes of what I wanted to see, Frye has those moments where you're like "holy cow, this kid is gonna be fantastic"

But shaq did look a little more INTERESTED than he has all season.

All right, all Eddy can do is dunk, so let's get him some f'g dunks. If we keep Stevie Ray and Starbury then there should be a public contest between them every night - whoever gets Eddy the most dunks gets a $100 gift certificate at Cosby's, or a dinner prepared by Isles, or sits on Larry's lap during the postgame, or something.

I have to say, watching Shaq up close last night, I don't think anyone in the world could stop him from getting position. He looks HUGE. He makes Zo looks small.

There were a lot of bad calls against Eddy though which probably made him tentative. Shaq does this spin thing where he hooks his elbow over the other player (Maybe Yao's the only one who's too tall for this) and just displaces his defender. This happened several times and Eddy just flew off in another direction. Guess who gets called for the foul? that's right - Eddy.

Not saying Eddy showed any heart cuz he didn't - but to be fair, that wasn't the best game to judge him on.
