with many scenrios we have to wonder, which one is the best for our team? we it almost seems a conclusion that we will have francis ( unless a better offer comes along or we pull out) i will use the other scenerios as reference points:

1.) trade for kenyon martin and earl watson

sl: curry, martin, marbs, francis and rose

well we do get a good back up point guard in the mix to spell marbs and francis. the big deal is martin. he has shown flashes of the tough player throughout the season especially a nasty dunk two weeks ago. but the reports on his bakc and knees are not encouraging especially seeing him in plain clothes last night. we do not need damaged goods. if we trade crawford and one of our veteran forwards then i would not object TOO much. but no way frye should be discussed for this deal.

probability: likely

2.) trade for darius miles and ratliff
sl: curry, ratliff, marbs, francis, miles/rose
well, we need interior toughness and shotblocking and theo definately brings us that. but how about his durability? it has always been questionable and he is out another week with his ankles. not to mention another contract that is gutter. as far as miles, we keep on saying he has potential. you know what? he has been in the league for five years. when will the potentila turn into "this is what we are getting"?
very athletic and plays solid defense. but still has an erratic jumpshot as well as the least coachable disposition. another one who has an issue with being healthy.

probability: most likely

3.) trade for ray allen and danny fortson/reggie evans
sl:curry, fortson/evans, allen, marbury, francis
one of the few trades i like but who do we give up? allen is a do it all sg but will be moved out of position to the 3 position. will it work at his age? but he is a definitive zone buster which has been killing us all year. but i like fortson, a great defender in the post as well as a tenecious rebounder. however, he has his history of coach and player problems.

probability:doubtful

4.) trade for kg and jaric
sl: curry, kg, marbs, francis, rose (all depends who we trade)

well, i said it before and i will say it again, if minny is even entertaining the thought of trading kg, we need to give them anything they want: players, cash, picks. whatever. to me kg is the best player in the league.period. yeah, he seems disinterested but he is THE ticket. getting him would be unreal in new york and the nba in general.

probability: highly doubtful
