Just read on RealGm wire that there are serious discussions involving KG comming to NY for Frye and Penny. Supposedly thats why Mo taylor is in the Orlando deal so Knicks can use Penny's contract for KG....According to the article, KG wants to come to NY.......


If anyone can post the article (I have no idea how to do it)

this article also said that JC and MO tay for francis is practically already done. and that if the knicks cant get KG, they will try to get Kmart. frankly Im not quite sure what to think about all this.
I really dont want to trade frye, but if its for KG, how can I be against that?

A source close to the participants in the talks told me late Tuesday night that New York and Minnesota are in serious and ongoing discussions about a deal which would send Kevin Garnett to the Knicks in exchange for Penny Hardaway and Channing Frye. Isiah Thomas, who has called Frye untouchable all season, is willing to give up the sought after rookie to land the future Hall of Famer.

Garnett has made it clear to the front office that should he be dealt, he wants to go to New York and that wish will be fulfilled if the Timberwolves decide to end the KG era and begin to rebuild. They reportedly respect Garnett and all that he has done for both the franchise and the area not to trade him to his preferred team.

The question of if the Wolves want to move on without Garnett will be the deciding factor in whether a trade gets completed before Thursday.

This deal delayed last week's Knicks discussions with the Magic regarding Steve Francis and it is why it will be Jamal Crawford and Maurice Taylor going to Orlando for their first time, instead of Hardaway’s second. That deal is all but complete, but Orlando is waiting to see if Denver returns to the table before the deadline.

If the Wolves choose to retain Garnett, the Knicks will turn to Denver and Kenyon Martin, a player that Larry Brown covets.

WOW. That's all I have to say, I know its not like its a done deal but usually when theres smoke there fire... I like Frye and all but KG is KG and with the current Knicks group, I think thats all it would take to make this team a serious contender. Obviously this year it would be tough to get into the playoffs but if they ever did, wow. With a Lineup of:

Marbury/Crawford/Rose/Garnett/Curry I think the Knicks would be serious contenders. Imagine if they pulled off the Francis deal too since Penny isn't involved? then you could make that starting lineup:

Marbury/Francis/Rose/Garnett/Curry. Wow.

Kool-aid might be flowing but KG to NY seems closer then ever.

You gotta believe this is total nonsense. Of course, I want to believe it because this is a deal you have to do if you are the Knicks.

What seems more likely, Isiah called Mchale and offered this deal to him. That doesn't mean Minnesota and the Knicks are going to do it. What does "serious negotiations" mean anyway? This could be a smoke screen by Isiah to try and get Orlando or Denver to bite on whatever deal he wants from them.

Has anyone watched KG this year? He's pretty much cooked as an elite player. I wouldn't be shocked if there was SOME truth to this. We wouldn't win anything with KG and we'd have the most ridiculous salary cap situation ever, sounds like a NYK kinda trade to me.
