in the offseason.

Step1: Accumulate all the assets you can without giving up too much for Francis and/or Kmart.

Step2: Do some back channel talking with KG to have him start the trade push.

Step3: Unload a healthier KMart or Frye/Lee with Francis or Marb to Wolves.

Step4: Be happy.

Email Isiah ASAP. Don't forget to CC Larry on that.

Decent idea, Martin! Keep 'em coming.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

The only reason the TWolves were interested in Marbury and Francis was to pair them WITH Garnett not INSTEAD of him.

I agree, I mean, Frye/Kmart/Francis (assuming those deals happen...) ... that's a better package than the Lakers got for Shaq, who has actually won something. KG isn't at the point in his career where he can win all by himself. He's a great two way player, but he isn't dominant or consistent enough on offense to be one of those Duncan/Shaq level unstoppable playoffs bigmen.

I dunno, it would be hard to say no, but would probably be another disappointment... sigh...

KG has always been the target, but I don't really see it happening. I think the Knicks also are serious about keeping Frye long term.

What's the point of trading all our assets for one superstar player? That's the Cavs-Lakers model of these days. I prefer to have multiple assets who will develop together, improve and become a team... called the Spurs-Pistons model.

getting GArnett would mean we would have to give up Frye and i don't think it's worth it..

Garnett has about 3 really good yrs left where he'll avg 21 ans 12 every night. after that, you'll start seeing a decline in his game.. He'll be 30 in MAy.. WOW, does time fly!!!

Also, he isn't a clutch performer.. he plays 3 quarters

There's a rumor where he might head back home to Chicago.. that might be the place for him since he plays 3 quarters in a game.. bulls got nothing to worry cause Ben gordon steps up in the forth..

Garnett would be short -term.. i rather be working on a long term goal with younger talented players around the league..
