if we do make moves this week, would you rather move the picks we have this draft (denver's and spurs) or one of our young guys (lee, nate, trev, butler, etc.) as sweeteners?

i.e. penny + denver's #1 or penny + lee?

I'd rather do neither. Give this team the season to jell, and see what type of players we can get with our first round picks.

keep Lee & Frye unless you're getting back a bonafide stud.... every other piece is expendable as long as the moves you make improve the team.

Agree totally. Lee and Frye should be borderline untouchable. Everyone else can be moved. Q2, Butler, Ariza are all FA at the end of the year, and none have bird rights, so it's not like teams have that much incentive in trading for them. Nate is the only one with any real trade value.

So what's nate's value compared to the Denver and SA pick? Likely somewhere in between, but it's relative. I'd sooner trade Nate than a pick at this point.

^If Frye and Lee are untouchable you have to include Curry as well.

Curry, Craw, and Q1 are on a different level of "youth" They are young veterans making big salaries, and likely to be major components of deals rather than "sweeteners"

The picks. Isiah is a good drafter but there's no guarantee he'll be able to get somebody good with those late picks. All of the young kids already here can play. Package those picks with Jalen's and Taylor's expiring contracts and get some serious talent in here.

lets see where this denver pick goes. if they dont get it,then you have to see who is coming out. no one isigiving you paul pierce for the 14th and 28 pick anyway. its better to see what is available--chris paul and david west turned around the NO franchise pick 4 and 19 what do you want trade two pick and an ending contract for another q rich?

this is flawed thinking sit back and lets see what develops. bringing in SERIOUS talent hasnt worked for the knicks.
