I predict that Flash dunks on our entire roster !!
I predict that Riley out coaches LB and forces him to change his DEPENDS

DOOD!! Thats the longest game thread title in history. I really like it though. Its very Nalodesque. Smooth with a sweet rhyme.

I predict that Stephon and Rose both put up 20 points. I predict it will be competitive for 4 quarters but NY will lose. I predict Curry brings his 'A' game but doesnt get the ball as much as he should. I predict Wade puts up 25, 7 and 7. I cant wait to watch a game when the Knicks are all healthy. Finally.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

No offense OngBok, but can we at least start the last part of the season with a little bit of optimism? I mean we are getting Marbury back to play with Jalen for the first time and may possibly have another impact player by next week. Not to mention we are coming off a win for the first time in recent memory. And since when did JJ become our starting center to play against Shaq?

it's funny now how coaches that have historically won, are now overrated after one bad season.

vanilli and now riles. i guess it really is "what have you done for me lately?"

yet phil walks away unscathed after not getting it done with 4 hall of famers. and for basically making it 1 on 5 in la la land.

I thought Riles has been overrated for years. I thought he was in LA, and IN NY! Thats just my take. As the president of the Heat, it also rings true.

Im not saying he is not a good coach, he just ain't great!

Phil Jax did far more with less. Phil had two Stars on his team, Riles had Three and better supports.

My take.

Interesting thoughts.

Riles did win though when the competition was a lot higher. How would Phil's Bulls have fared every year against the Celtics and Sixers in their prime? Riles won back-to-backs when it was unheard of.

Phil + Riles = Righteous Brothers???

Riley was a very good coach back in the day.
But I think he is having a really hard time adjusting his offensive and defensive sets to the Zone defense.
All the new rules put into place to "speed up" the game have rendered Riley very ineffective in tough matchups.
I still think he's a great coach.
But he will need a full season to adjust to a very different NBA from the one he used to be an elite coach in.

because phil is the man, phil can, and does walk away just like that. when you become the man you could do the same

btw....if star starts, knicks win

Larry Brown is a cranky old man with no flair or style. Riles is a crafty old gentleman with smarts. I wouldn't trust either. But Riley has proven to me that he is capable of doing far more with alot less. Brown ain't even in the same universe on that one. As I will constantly state, for all of Brown's success, his best coaching job was with the Clippers and then Indiana. Riley took over teams that were a joke a season before and took them to 2nd round with no problem. That has to account for something. Riley best coaching jobs is the 91-92 season with NY and the 96-97 Heat team.

To make a statement like that tells you don't know Knick history at all. The media made any worst jokes about the Knicks because there was more attention on the Knicks then the other NY teams who were all having bad years. You must not be from the NY area or not that old.

To say the Knicks were joked about is different than saying that the team was an absolute joke, meaning that the team was just plain horrible--which they weren't.

Is that some ancient eastern philosophy? You aren't dead until you are dead type of crap.

Well they were joked at, call jokes and no one wanted any part of them. Ewing wanted no part of the team, Stu Jackson was casted out of town, and the team wasn't considered good at all. Not really debatable here on this one. Shaq best line when he was fined before by Jackson was to bring up how much of a joke the guy was when he was the Knicks coach and Riley did afterwards.

^It's nothing mysterious. The Yankees were joked about alot last year but you can't say the team was really a joke--the Royals were a joke though. Anyways, Riley added Mason and the Xavier McDaniels the next year so he had a better team to work with.

imma go out the limb and say we'll win this game.....i have a feeling that the team will play some of its best basketball during this game unless there are some major changes...

I think we're going to see a whole different attitude from this team after the break and we won't see anymore long losing streaks.

yeah...this team is growing...it may not be indicated by the record or the games we saw...but i wanna see how every component is before we start trading players jus cause their expiring...and i was hoping we would let some contracts expire...cause if we do...we could be closing in on being under or under it by the end of next season
