Would you give up Lee and Penny for Miles and Ratliff?

I say no UNLESS we could get Jack or Blake as well--and even then I'm not sure.

that's insane...penny represents like 15 million of cap space. that's valuable. and from all accounts lee is going to be a good nba'er for a long time. miles is good but he's no better than any of the other 10 swingmen on the knicks roster. what is ratliff's contract? i imagine it's expiring at the end of this year too but unless it's worth even more than penny's i wouldn't do this...it boils down to lee for miles give or take a few million? unnecessary

ratliff has another 2 years after this.. i guess miles and ratliff would bring defense to our team, but i just dont think its worth making this kind of move right now. keep lee, let penny expire.

I would have 2 weeks ago if we got Jack.......now we are talking about Odom, Francis and Martin who are better players combined...

With Jalen and Q, I don't think we need Miles. Before the Jalen trade, maybe I would have accept that deal.

Miles plays well on both sides of the court. Jalen and Q can't play defense. I'd do the trade.

To be fair, Miles is better than any swing payer we have including Jalen when you consider he is 33 and will probably be traded nxt yr. He's a good defender, has long arms and blocks shota at the SF pos.

With that said, I rather have Odom.

I know Miles is better than Rose. I just don't see the point of having Rose, Woods and Miles together because now SF is not out main concern in my opinion. But hey, of course I like Miles a lot.

As per Vescey this morning, we gave the Spurs Nazr for Rose (21 mil) and the pick we got Lee for.

An excellent pick.

Now we going to package it for Radcliff and MIles?

Why we need Miles, Can't a combo of Lee and Woods fill the bill?

I'd rather do nothing than deal with what portland got to offer.

If we wait until the summer, or next yrs trade deadline, I think we can get Odom without including Frye. Nxt summers free agents are pretty attractive and when you consider that Phil wants Bosh, I think getting under the cap is a top priority for the Lakers.

I think we can get Odom for Jalen & Lee next year. Just have to be pateint

Would you do a Penny and Frye for Ratliff, Patterson and their 2 1st rd picks (lotto maybe pick 4 and the Det pick which would be 30)?

We would have 4 picks in the draft.

the only trade i would make for Ratliff is Mo T & Malik for Ratliff & Ruben... i don't give them Penny unless they give up their 1st round pick unprotected.

Sounds like only way this deal gets done is if we include Lee. I really don't want to part with Lee, especially in this deal (would include Lee for Odom however) but heres a scenario that might work:


Penny, Lee & denver pick for Miles, Ratliff and there unprotected lotto pick this yr.

Portland is trying to rid themselves of slaries so theres no way they are taking back JJ or Malik Rose.
