I kind of laid the foundation for the negatives of acquiring Francis, but at the end of the day POSITIVES OUTWEIGH negatives---its a good trade EVEN if it doesnt work.

If Steve played great down the stretch and fit--well great--if he plays great and doesnt mesh------you can deal him for MUCH better things than what Jamal can get us.

at this point, frye's value is actually quite high...to the point where he's untouchable. get back to me when we're 2 games from making the NBA finals and frye isn't that big a part of it and then we can talk. but right now, he's untouchable.

i think you pretty much covered how i feel about this issue... Francis is an upgrade, plain & simple... make the trade... the overall dollar difference is a matter of $7 million more the Knicks are on the hook for, but runs 2 years shorter duration, which means you get out of Crawford's contract being on the books past the '08/'09 season... that represents an added bonus because it gives the Knicks more flexibility to make deals sooner rather than later.

Totally agree that we need to get rid of Craw. Don't know if Francis is the best we can do- but Craw has to go somehow or someway.

If they want to get Francis to Denver I will also take andre miller for crawford

Miller for Craw is another no brainer for us, if DEN would be crazy enough to agree to it.

whatever way it works, if it comes down to Denver getting Francis because of trade paramaters and we end up with Miller instead of Francis with Crawfish to Orl, Im down with it. Work through the problems here--take either player

My reasons are not because I hate Crawford, because I don't, I just see Francis as an upgrade that we should take. I love Crawford's ability to shoot from the outside, but I just think he is too inconsistent and hurts us in other areas.

I dont hate any player, I just dont want to rely on a no D inconsistent player with a skinny build
