Odom if we don't have to give up Frye. Then Francis if doctors feel comfortable with his knee. Then Francis in third place on this poll.

My first option would be to acquire Odom. If this isn't possible, I may think about moving Marburys contract for picks and expirings and try to build with Frye, Lee and Curry.

I would say the Evans/Fortson move with Seattle, trying hard to see if we can expand it to get Seattle's 1st rounder by offering Frye in the process. Come next year's all-star break if this thing's still a mess with no sign of moving in the right direction, then I say deal Marbury and blow it up. At least give it until mid-season next year with a healthy Marbury to access the situation.
In the meantime, NO IRRESPONSIBLE DEALS FOR BAD CONTRACTS PLEASE ISIAH!!!!

KMart & Watson would impact this team the most right now, but it carries the most risk because of KMart's health issues.

Trading Marbury for picks & expirings would probably be the best move to make for the future tho... i've been saying that for a long time.

Why would you trade Frye for a another lotto pick, then turn around and blow it up by trading Marbury with no one to build around?

If your gonna blow this team up, you have to keep Frye!

Evaluating trades is difficult because for each piece you bring in, you potentially lose another. It might be great to acquire any of those guys, but what would we have to give up?

I answered "make no trades", not because I oppose all trades, but because I see a pattern of trading for players and yet the Knicks continue to be dysfunctional.

I don't think it matters who the Knicks bring in - the losing culture remains in place. Until they set a direction and start moving forward as a team, nothing will change.

Realistically the knicks should trade marbs for expiring contracts and sign Andre Barrett.

Msg will never do that.

Because I'd rather have Shelden Williams or Rodney Carney on the Knicks than Frye, that's why!!!
Sorry, now that I think about it, I think I explained it a little better in the " small Seattle trade thread," and not in this one.
And when I say blow the team up I'm really talking about re-assessing the team at the same time next year after Marbury comes back healthy, the younger guys get more experience and we tweak the roster through the draft. At that time, if this thing is still a mess, I would consider dealing Marbury. However, I'm not into dealing Marbury right now as some are. I personally think he's a very good player and I'm still willing to be patient at least through next year.

I would go with the youth movement and try to trade Marbury for expiring contracts or someone that comes off the books in 2007-2008. I think this season is a wash and I really don't have much hope for next unless LB changes his ways or sticks with a rotation and does some serious teaching to the youngins.

I would also bring in Hot Sauce from And1 so at least we would have some entertainment value. Watching LB pull his hair while HS is doing the Matrix would be priceless.

Shelden Williams= younger Antonio Davis.
I'd rather have Frye. But I'm all for blowing this thing up and riddin ourselves of Marbury's contract, MRose, Taylor, Qrich etc.
