wow, lee plays and he is a factor on both ends, don't let the stats fool you. Frye plays well as does curry and guess what? we get a win.. I can add jamal in that mix as well. So I ask, why does lee not play more often, along with frye?

come on larry......

Thanks for refreshing my memory oohah, but I really was not trying to call out larry in this thread, just wondering why he doesn't play both together more, I am not saying he is right or wrong but with the results we got tonight, I wonder what his reasoning is......

If that is questioning his approach, then I am guilty as well...

Lee was on with B. Tierney after the game tonight and sounded like he really loved playing on this team and talked about how LB believes in all the rookies and the progress they are making--he just sounded completely optimistic.

You heard what he said about curry on "live from the play by play"

he talked about curry being so quick and huge, how he roomed with curry at the Mcdonalds all american game, and that curry is not soft, just never got pushed the way he should of been. He said he also believes that curry can be the next dominant force in the league, he said his athleticism and quickness is amazing with his size... He also had a lot of good things to say about marbs... Go figure..

Yeah, I couldn't believe how articulate he was for a rookie--he is definitely a guy who is going to play a long time in this league, he is on top of things.

I really hope we keep Lee. I like EVERYTHING i see with this kid. He is smart, he hustles and he is willing to learn.

IT keep him. I am against the Francis trade if it is Lee tha goes. Ariza is the only one I would trade with Craw and Penyy for Battie and Francis.
That is a very good trade, IMO.

yea, I hate to question a guy like brown with his credentials, but I really wonder why not just play the rookies, they seem to be productive when they get the time. I watched the Hawks last night and Jos smith, josh childress and salim stoudamire looked good while beating the lakers, with playing time, you either improve or you are not in the league, but at least you know what you have....

Brown is a moron for not playing the Lee, Curry, Frye front court as often as possible.

I believe that for the first time in LB's illustrious career he is home, he knows this team will not compete for a chanpionship as presently contructed and has been trying each player in different situations and with different combinations to who fits and how they fit. He has never been in this type of situation before with the depth of talent (numbers-not individual depth of talent) and this is his last stop (in his view). Now, hopefully, he will be playing to mold and win.

Larry is a terrible coach i am convinced of this; track record means nothing its about what have you done now....Donnie Walsh gave him a great front court Smith, Davis brother and Reggie, with the Pistons he had an unbelievable team, and he did a nice job with the sixers, but he is acting like a child with his verbal assault of the players through the media....
Yes everyone knows he is going to make them better, but he needs to get with the times

He he doesn't win the gold with the following Lebron, Wade, Duncan, Amare, and Iverson is unbelievable, he wouldn't even play the kids and he has put our season down the toilet and the young players hate him and have tuned him out and lost all confidence....

It takes him all season long to realize if you give Lee minutes we play well and win more than we lose?

Put the blame on Isiah. I didn't want Herb to coach this team but Brown really has taken a hit for me over the last 8 years. I still stand by what I said, his best coaching job in the NBA was in LA. 2001 was more about Iverson becoming more than a stat guy to having a desire to win, Detroit was a very good team before Brown, with Brown and better team after Brown. You heard Brown and his lapdog Mike Franchesa said the Olympics were everybody's else fault but his (especially Marbury). btw, it took him a bit to get the sixers right. I think we may have been spoil in this town by Riley's sucess his first year.

Questioning an obviously poor performance is nothing to be guilty about. It does not diminish LB's past successes.

For example:

If the Knicks sign an older star player who just had a couple of good seasons. We have every right to expect a good performance. And if he averages 5 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 turnovers while shooting 37%, anyone who is observing is well within their right to say: "He is not playing well."

Defenders of the star player may say that there were all sorts of circumstances contributing to his poor performance, and they may be right in many ways.

And it doesn't mean the player was not great before. It doesn't mean he might not be great again.

But it doesn't change the fact of his poor performance for that season.

***

I think it is strange that everyone is so much more depressed now than the were after the 7-21 (.250) start.

Since then the Knicks are 8-16! That's .333! The 'slow start' is behind us!

We improved to .288!!

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!
