If the deal is as reported, do you support Crawford, Penny, Ariza for Francis and either Battie or Cato?
Hell yeah, Francis is great
No, too much starphucking

Yes. Francis will be a huge upgrade and will solidfy the backcourt with Marbury.

Francis is everything we hoped Craw would become and his contract is shorter!

didn't hear so much support for the idea of getting Francis a few days ago (other than myself, BRIGGS & maybe a couple others)... good to see opinions can change so quickly around here... maybe y'all will warm up to the idea of bringing KMart on board too by week's end.

Our salary cap will rival only the Yankees. With the addition of KMart, they better win nxt yr. When I say win, I don't mean 8th seed, win the division.

that's the thing about sports... having a high payroll doesn't guarantee championships... as a Yankee fan, i can attest to that.

It's still not my first choice of use for the expiring contract of Penny, but if we can get rid of Jamal for just an expiring contract that makes the trade a lot better. I still listed in another thread trades I would make ahead of this one, but that doesn't mean I don't like this trade.

I entertained this idea awhile ago and was met with disdain. Marbury and Francis in the same backcourt. I said it would be like Walt Frazier and Earl the Pearl together again. Can't believe it might happen. Fun to watch but we won't win much. Don't think Larry could stick around to deal with this though. If Isiah gets Francis, it means to me that Isiah has won the battle with Dolan and LB will step down at year's end. We shall see.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

I guess I would do it, becuase crawford is a slow learner, and as big as francis's contract is its actually shorter than crawfords, plus we need another pg, or at least someone who can play that position, which francis can better than crawford can. but the newest rumor is that francis is probably going to LA, so it looks like it doesnt matter if we would do the trade or not.

To LA? Kobe and Francis is a TERRIBLE combo. Kobe is a shoot-first (shoot-only) player who does not fit with a player like Francis. I definitely would have some concerns about a Marbury/Francis combo but Marbury looks to pass A LOT more than Kobe does.

Yeah I think its a bad combo too. I dont know what Kupchak is thinking. that is if the rumor is true, come to think about it, I shouldnt just assume that it is.
