Yeah, I just saw that. I can't believe Arroyo is in the deal as well--now you know Francis is being dealt very soon.

If Darko turns out to be a decent player, this could be a very good trade for Orlando.

Darko and Howard are two big sumbitches!

Not so. I think he will be pretty good. He is agile, skilled, and he is HUGE. I think he will be at least as good as Okur by the time he is done improving. Howard and Milicic? That is an intimidating looking front line at least.

I think what many people don't realize about Milicic, and to a much lesser extent Lampe, is that these guys are only about 19-20 years old. Lampe was the youngest player in the NBA at 17 when he was a rookie and I believe that Milicic was 18. They still have time to improve. Guys who are seven footers often take longer to come around, Look at Rik Smits. It took him 6-8 years to find his groove. Noone can teach you to be 7 foot, and that is why they get the investment of time and money. Sometimes more important is PLAYING TIME. Look at Primo Brezec.

oohah, you may be right. Yes, the kid is 20/21 years old, and it is very possible that he ends up being a good player. But what you have to realize is that Milicic has NEVER played more than 10 minutes per game since he was 16 (and I'm assuming he was really awesome by that time). That's a WHOLE lot of missed time. I mean, he has NEVER done anything decent at a professional level. He averaged 1 ppg in the Euroleague the year before he went drafted (his 1st year being a pro). The one and only reason we have to believe that he can be very good is that he was the #2 overall pick of a draft that included Lebron, Wade, Carmelo and Bosh.
Lampe played for Real Madrid, and at the beginning of the season they sent him to the LEB (something like the CBA in USA) because he was too young, so basically he play 4 games in a team that did not even reach the play-offs that year. That being said, AT LEAST, Lampe played very well in the LEB for almost a full season.

Spree, I don't know Jermaine O'neal, but sir Darko, is no Jermaine O'Neal. The guy is a step slower than guys his size. How is he better than Bosh?? How is he better than Carmelo? I am still waiting for him to be better than Sweetney. Give Brown credit for that one and give a shot to Dumars for that one. Joe got hoodwinked by Chad Ford.
