Time to DVR this one. Do you like him better than Brandon Roy and and Maurice Ager?

I'm with Briggs on Ager, don't really like him that much. If I had to choose between Roby and Roy then I go with Roby. I don't think either player has that much more on the other but the one thing I really like about Roby is that he is extremely good at getting his own shots on offense, something that Roy is not as good at. I think Roy is the more complete player but I like Roby's offensive game just a bit more.

there are a lot of good guards in this draft, thats good for us because we need them. how about that kid Lowry from Villanova--that kid looks like the best on ball defender in the last several years. stats dont show everything, like a PG who can hound you into TO's and make your like miserable trying to set your o up. thats what philly was in 2000 my bet is thats what lb wants here--not so much the stats guy, but the disruptive player. guys who make it hard for the other team to score guys who can pick up full court speed athletiscm much more defensive orientated.

I think your right about that; PG is the most important on the basketball for Larry Brown teams, I wouldn't mind Lowry, he's not the sexy pick out there if your basing purely on talent but your right, he has attributes that alot of other players in this draft don't have, especially PG wise. He's just solid, he's a good shooter, good passer, good running the team and like you said plays tough gritty defense. He won't let happen what happens to our guards which is let his man get by him and have the rest of the team play help Defense, that alone will help the Knicks greatly.

I think your right though Briggs, we as Knicks fans have to start looking at this draft from LB's point of view, not from who has the most skills point of view. So in doing that, heres a few other players that I think would fit in that mold. Oh and one other thing, I don't know if it was you Briggs who said it recently, but whoever did was right; Francisco Garcia would have been such a perfect fit for this team because he has alot of the same qualities that Lowry has. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20. Anyway heres my guys at each position who fit LB mold and who I'd stay away from. Remember these are guys I think the Knicks should look at, based on LB mold coupled with talent.

Good Fit:
PG-Lowry/Mardy Collins
SG-Richard Roby/Brandon Roye/Mike Gansey/Hassan Adams
SF-Rodney Carney(should be a top 7 pick but one can hope because he is a true LB player)/Ronnie Brewer
PF/C-Kevin Pittsnoggle/Hilton Armstrong/Josh Boone/Pops Mensuh Bonsu/Nick Fazekus

Bad Fit:
PG-Daniel Gibson/Guillarmo Diaz
SG-Maurice Ager/
PF/C-Paul Davis, Paul Davis, Paul Davis, Paul Davis(stay away from this guy on the Knicks)

Theres guys I'm not sure about: Taquan Dean/Marcus Williams who I'm still out on and am going to watch extremely closely in the tournament becuase they should be very available when the Knicks draft.
