But is he really going to be better than Lee? He's got like zero offensive game and not the best hands either. Also he's an UFA at the end of the year I dont think we would have his Bird rights as they are recinded if you trade a player who took the 1 year offer.

Why not just go after him with the MLE this offseason?

i'm not interested in Reggie Evans at all... i'd rather let David Lee get more burn.

It sounds like a salary dump. I agree that Lee should get the playing time.

Reggie Evans is tough and rugged. he's a veteran juggernaut rebounder.. Maybe they're trying to unload lee..

our problem isn't rebounding! Its perimeter defense and turnovers.

He is a pretty good defender. He's in the JYD mold... but you don't trade Lee for him. You don't trade Lee for Flip Murray. Evans is a guy that will spark Eddy to do the same. He is an agitator. New York would love this guy. Fortson is a real temperamental pain in the ass... as Antonio Daniels said.. " its nice not to have the meathead factor in your lockerroom" . The trade works with rose/ariza for fortson/evans. The nice thing about this trade is (id 2941256) .. is Rose's deal becomes Fortsons deal and ends two years earlier. Next year we would have Mo T, Danny Fortson, and Jalen coming off the cap.
