supposedly minny has been hearing alot about garnett trade talk.

why don't we offer allan houston, dice, othella harrington, frank williams and a couple 1st rounders for KG? the salaries would about match up.

i couldn't bear them trading the Kid to Miami for 'Zo! That's sick.

Wow, I don't know how Minnesota could turn down Houston (they could then trade Szczerbiak), McDyess, Harrington, and Williams (they could then trade Billups) and first rounders which they don't have due to the Joe Smith signing. The Knicks would have a ton of holes, though.

It would be hard to get him considering NJ has offered Martin, Kittles, and Van Horn and everyone else is offering everyone else. We could offer McDyess, Williams, and Thomas to see if they bite, but it's a long shot.

how would there be a ton of holes?

Ward/Eisley at the PG
Spree at the SG
Weatherspoon/ Anderson at SF
KG at PF
KT at Center

better line up than we have now... kg is better than Dice and Houston... his height is key.

if we offered that junk, they'd laugh in our face. and we would have a ton of holes: no play maker pg, no outside shooting threat, no center, no back up pf or center, and no post threat.

and weatherspoon is too slow and short to defend the sf spot. he's an undersized 6'5 pf. garnett is no pf. he may be a 7 footer, but he's a small forward. and while kurt thomas can defend centers, the only way we could escape with him playing at the 5 is if we had a big pf... which we would not.

the trade works for neither team.
