Isiah traded Penny and the two #1 draft picks to Denver for KMart/Watson you would
Curse Isiah for always overpaying and adding high-salary players with issues
Praise Isiah for finding ways to add talent to the club while not losing a prized player

If they Knicks are taking Martin's contract and his knee problems, they would have to take Q's contract and his back problems.

Give up two first round picks and our expiring contract for K-Mart? That's simply insane. I like how K-Mart's recovering and I'd do trade Penny for K-Mart if Denver threw in Nene or a future 1st rd pick.

Yeah. Anything worse than that, no deal.

Besides, I really want to see who Isiah Brown drafts with those two picks.

Denver NEEDS to ship KMart out...dood is like starting to have a breakdown......and I still HATE Watson.

No need to over pay, we can wait til the 23rd.

Have you watched Denver lately? It's really the opposite. K-Mart is getting a lot better as the season continues. It really looks like the microfracture surgery was successful and he's beginning to regain his old form. They might still want to trade him from a financial perspective, but they are not desperate.

I think him and Kendra would make a great pair.

I wasn't referring to any one game. (And I have many different reports about why he sat out.)
His knee is obviously getting better if you watched him throughout the season. He averaged 15/8/2 blocks last month and is averaging 22 and 8 this month. He has the toughness we despeately need. Of course we shouldn't give up 1st rd picks for him.

I voted Praise.....Kenyon is hurt but he doesn't look hurt when you see him play. I think he has discomfort from surgery....maybe he should have stayed out longer to fully heal. Still....it's not like he had reconstructive surgery.....I think he will be fine. He might just be experiencing arthritis.

I'm not looking at the 34 pts.....I'm looking at the energy, speed and aggression he brings to the game. He is an unselfish player too. He displayed that in NJ. I think he would fit well with LB wants.

Now I dunno if you can trade Denver back their pick but if this trade were to happen I would be a happy camper.

It should be Mo T for K-Mart. They get a solid scorer with much less financial risk. We get the better player. If they want to pay K-Mart the rest of his salary, they won't do that trade obviously. I don't think any team is gonna give up a lot to get K-Mart b/c of his contract.

People bemoan the fact that we have no cap space to sign anybody, Well if we're going to get two recent free agents and install them in our rotation at the G and the F and improve our team, then we have to give up something of value. So we give something we can't use right now, the -cap-space (with cap space we'd have signed KMart away from the NETS two years ago) and the two pipcks that we don't have roster spots for.

This would be another example of a deal where Isiah turns crap to crem brulee, and the amatuer GMs here would be up in arms about it. Figures.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Why overpay for K-Mart. No team is giving up 2 1st round picks for them. You can definitely make roster spots available by buying out players, trading players, or not keeping Butler or Ariza if the draft picks are better players. You can also use the picks in subsequent deals. There's no point in overpaying with draft picks just because of concerns about roster spots.

Overpaying for KMART? What are you saying his value is - He's not worth a mid first and a late first? I'd assume we'd also be getting Earl Watson in the deal, so i don't see how it's overpaying, or even if it IS overpaying, what does that matter as long as we're getting better? At the same time, Isiah is setting a market value. You can't call it overpaying when you don't know market value. GS madet he same deal, getting the questionable Baron Davis for Sppedy Claxton and i believe there were draft picks involved too. That's the market value of a non-Max player on a max-contract.
