You can't just amnesty a player whenever you want to. I don't think teams will be able to again until the next CBA. JJ will probably be bought out like Shandon Anderson was.

Jaric isn't that good. He's not worth the James contract + plus an extra year.

And James is worth James' contract? Jaric is more bang for the buck and definitely more tradable down the line.

you guys are right he doesn't play defense. I remember Marbury torching him, penetrating at will but I also remember him torching Marbury on the other end on the perimeter. He's had some big points and assists games this year much more than you can say for JJ. He's young and might benefit from Larry Brown. I know one thing, he's a monster on defense compared to Crawford/Nate. As for the long jam trade those two for all I care. Just get JJ outta here. I realize Curry might be a bum for the rest of his career and we need a good backup center but we could do far better for the amount we're paying JJ. Jaric can actually be worth the $5-6mm he makes

well said. you said what I thinking! of course Minnesota has to be stupid to fall for Jerome James first. With one year left on his contract and the playoff he had, they might.
