The Bucks traded Big Dog to the Hawks for Toni Kukoc, Leon Smith, and a first rounder. I think that's a bad trade for the Bucks, Kukoc is often hurt, Smith is literally insane, and a first rounder from the Hawks with a healthy Theo Ratliff down low won't be that good of a pick. Hawks now have a starting 5 of Dickau, Terry, Robinson, Abdur-Rahim, and Ratliff with an improved DerMarr Johnson off the bench, that's not a bad team at all. They also have Nazr Mohammed. Now the Bucks will probably have Tim Thomas start, and Kukoc off the bench as a 6th man.

i guess big dog was a cancer, and loading up on 1st rounders was with the hope of maybe getting some more good young players. the key to this trade was the 1st rounder probably, and salary dump of big dog, in addition to being able to resign mike redd, who can pour in the points just like big dog, and is more cost effective. look for the bucks to probably waive leon smith.

like I said in another thread

Scraps indeed. I guess the Bucks do it to make Timmy work for his money..-)
Worst of all, the espn trade said one of the 2003 atlanta first round picks.

ATL has another pick from indiana in the 2003 draft, top 15 protected. I think it's safe to say that if ATL gets that pick Milwaukee will get the lowest pick ATL has (who knows maybe ATL will have a better record then Indiana, you shouldn't forget they were like an episode of M*A*S*H last season).

So I guess it's purely a financial trade. Kukoc + Smith make less then Glenn and Smith can be waived immediately (not a guaranteed contract I believe). The pick will be late teens or mid twenties.

Well, we better be carefull. Or watchfull.

George Karl is interested in Spree, and now the Bucks have more economic room available... Maybe that can be used in favor of the Knicks. Let's hope that the Bucks don't sneak out Spree leaving us empty handed.

Very unlikely. I believe that once a player is traded... he has a 48 hour window to be traded again otherwise the team must wait either 60 or 90 more days. So if nothing happens in the next day or two the bucks would have to get spree w/ a combination of ttomas, cassell, przybilla, and/or others

definitely...imagine our lineup
PG: Cassell
SG: Houston
SF: Tim Thomas
PF: Dice
C: KT

Then we trade KT for a decent center

You're beyond insane if you think the Bucks will trade their starting PG and a young SF (who George Karl likes a lot) for Sprewell.
