You have a coach that hates coaching young kids. You have a coach that wants what he doenst have. He ran Rose out of Indiana and now he is the best. He wants different players and he will force IT to give up some of the young guys so another team will take a bad player. I was a big LB supporter but what has he done for this team this year. The rookies are screwed up Ariza is done and he wants to trade half the team. If the Knicks would show some patience they could get this done instead you are going to make a few trades and be screwed for even longer. Watching this team you can tell none of the players want to play for LB.

Maybe it's just his frustration with the young guys, which I can't really understand as Brown HAD to know that was going to be the situation when he signed on.

It's weird how to a man Detroit LOVED him. Look at how AI butted heads with Brown and then years after he is almost in tears when he talks about his old coach. Could be that the current Knicks have just not "gotten" Brown yet, or maybe Brown is just too stubburn.

Strange.

I truly believe LB thought his mere presence would will this team to a .500 record this year. Especially coming off a finals appearance and a championship the year before. So he simply is befuddled that he doesn't have the Midas touch. Now he is embarrassed and wants to save face by trading for veterans. Theo Ratliff, Eric Snow and George Lynch are probably on the way if LB gets his way. Goodbye Ariza, JC, and maybe even Channing Frye. Nobody will take Marbury at his price or he would be gone too. Nobody wants Q Rich either. It's sad. LB wasn't the right guy for the job or personnel in place. Paul Westphal would have been better. Hell, Paul Westhead would have been better!
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

oh, here is a final thought: I think Lee is not getting minutes cause LB has totally vetted him (in his own mind) and already knows what he can do and is going with some other guys to break them down further.

That could be the reason and if so it would pretty much mean we're STILL in stinkin training camp. Are we really trying to win games here? It doesn't seem like it on the players' side or the coach's.

I would normally hold back and think i were overreacting but the last two games felt like fool's gold when looking at today's game. We were blown out repeatedly for a while and then in the last two games we were competitive and were in it until the last possession. Now we get blown out again by the nets (). Its quite frustrating.

i feel like we would be winning some of these games if marbury was completely healthy though. its tough when your best player is out.

It's hard not to get frustrated when we have a jackass (Nate) who's stroking Frye during a huddle when coach is screaming out plays.

is he showcasing guys right now or are the rookies really just sitting because. I mean he seemed really high on Lee, and now he's DNP and after DNP while black hole Mo gets starters minutes.

We are playing without a playmaker. In LB's world, you have a playmaker.

Craw and nate are Seattles finest funnymen. Nates Vaudville act is tiring. He is just not right for this team.

Talent alone is not getting the job done.

we need to do something. i am tired of people making their comments. we were made fun of on snl this past week. richard jefferson had his comments by saying k-mart will not be happy in ny because it is like getting traded to charlotte or toronto or garbageness. i can't stand rj.

if the team played with a little heart, it would go a long ways.

actually it would be worse than playing for those teams since this franchise has no future, and those franchise's actually have the means to improve themselves.

The real problem for this team -- which I do think has a future -- is pride. They need to watch films of Ewing, Oakley, Mason and LJ. How many times would you see Cassel dance after a 3 with those guys on the court (or even in Detriot with Ben Wallace on the floor). Or how many times would RJ go in for an unchallenged dunk. Instead they would be taking trips to the foul line with a few nicks and bruises. When the current Knicks get that kind of attitude, they will improve quickly.

pride is definitely part of it, but which vets are stepping up showing the kids how to play and how to act? That's part of the problem too. Most of the guys don't care for Marbury, JRose is new, MRose can't shoot or doesn't play so his influence is curbed, same with JJ. Craw and Q suck so they can't lead by example. It's tough out there.

There are just no excuses for not playing hard. LB and IT are working hard every single day--the players are not. If I was Larry I would just come out and do what Phil Jackson did to Kwame Brown--call Crawford a p^ssy and get it over with.

Its not about who can shoot, or even playing time. Its attitude that has to be instilled by the coaches and enforced through playing time. Every basket by the other team should be taken as an insult. If Eddy decides not to step in front of RJ when he goes for the dunk (as happened last night)he comes out for a while.

i wholly agree with that, martin. that is why i am not TOTALLY opposed to bringing players like martin in the fold. if someone thinks martin playing along side eddy curry will not help us they must be crazy. but the contract is the issue. i think ray allen can provide that also. he is an above average preimeter defender ( something we definately need) and a great scorer. but again another huge contract and his age is telling. but those two will infuse a winning swagger in this group. lets face it. brown does not want to coach a group this young. he isn't getting any younger. he wants to compete NOW. is he right? we will see. do i agree with it? not wholeheartedly. but with a 120 million dollar payroll and tied with charlotte as the worse in the league with no lottery pick we need to jumpstart something.

and this IS what is happening for the most part... and because of that players' confidences are down, rotations are whack, internal stife has set in, guys don't care. It all spirals downwards.
