I wonder what Jalen will do in his debut as a Knick against the Nets. For starters, don't let that punk Jefferson skip around after a dunk. Or don't let him dunk in the first place.

I never knew a team to be so arrogant and blatantly ****y....all the show boating and taunting they get away with is ridiculous.

I mean the Knicks had a heated rivalty with The Bulls, Indiana and Miami but we respected them. They never came in trying to humiliate the Knicks.....if it was a blow out then fine.....they did it with professionalism and respect.

I hate the Nets so much. I got respect for Vince because he never comes out his face with any blatant disrespect. Vince comes off very humble. It's just the rest of his teammates......that being Dick and Kidd.

Heres a foreign idea...Maybe we should start trying to win games so they can respect us. Losing 22 out of the 25 games or whatever the stupid stat is doesnt deserve any respect.

Respect the game....you know...even when the Knicks were good and they used to beat the Nets they never embarrassed them like how the Nets do.

The only way we can win this game is if Crawford comes to play tonight. If he is not making Kidd work defensively and turning the ball over we have no chance. The only other way I think to win this game is for Curry and Frye to go off on NJ's weak frontline.

I really don't get the Knicks/Nets excitement based on the perception of a rivalry. They are not the Knicks' historical rivals, like Boston, Philly, or Chicago. There isn't any connection or bad blood like they had with Miami. The 2 teams have never been good at the same time enough to build up a real rivalry.

Even though the Nets have been by far the better team for about 4 years, and have been more entertaining during that time, it is more prestigous to be a Knick, though it may be better to be a Net.

The only thing that really hurts is that the Knicks are run so much worse than the Nets.

It's just another game to me.

Not really, but maybe when the Nets move to Brooklyn there will be a true turf war. Right now the Knicks own this territory.

The Nets don't really have fans, look at their attendance even in championship run years. They've got three stars, two of whom are among the biggest in the game and they still get no love.

Tim Thomas and K-Mart are long gone, so that is dead.

Otherwise I see no rivalry. Just us being pissed that 'they' are so much better when it was almost always the other way around.

In my opinion closeness does not equal a rivalry, though it frequently plays a role.

There is the Marbury/Kidd subtext, and that is valid, though Kidd usually walks all over Marbury, so it is kind of embarassing for Marbury and the Knicks. I would have to say that Marbury started the disrespect with the "Best PG" talk.

Don't forget Marbury added alot to the hatred of the Nets with his evaluations of Charlie Ward.

Sort of ancient history, and the Nets' record blew then like the Knicks' records blows now--with Marbury, and that is ironic.

Personally, I would cool the rivalry talk while the Knicks are the laughingstock of the NBA.

You know I don't sweat this too much because before Kidd got there they had maybe one good year with Daly as coach- outside of that, they've been pretty pathetic.
