i saw this on the ESPN board, which is usually filled with insane one-sided trades but i really liked this one...even though it may be onesided and insane ...

Knicks trade spree and thomas to the Hornets for Mashburn and Campbell...

I think we can then try to work out a three way deal with golden state and denver..

Knicks trade: Ward, Williams weatherspoon
Knicks receive: Foyle, Van exel

Denver trades: Van exel
Denver receives: Ward, Fortson

Golden State trades: Fortson, Foyle
Golden State receives: Williams, Weatherspoon

Lineup:
PG: Van exel, Eisley
SG: Houston, postell
SF: Mashburn, Anderson
PF: Dice, Foyle, Harrington
C: Campbell, Doleac, Foyle

We fix our point guard glut, and we get a good point guard, we get a real SF, we get a real center, and we get a good backup F/C

vanX is on the mavs, not nuggets. he was traded in feb.

they would not give up mashburn for spree. i posted a trade along those lines yesterday. it'd be something like:

spree, ward and kt for campbell, wesley, courtney alexander (maybe) and definitely kirk haston (they want to dump him)

The trade isnt even close to fair.

Why does everyone want to trade Spree keep him and go into the season with him. Get NVE in NY as soon as possible and watch Spree go. Teams won't be able to keep up with Spree. He may have lost half a step but he still has a full step to give. NYK just needs to add NVE and any stiff center will do. If the center comes with shot blocking ability all the better. Mashburn, I remember the Mashburn who would be ineffective in the Miami-NYK series. Spree kept with him and out did him. I don't like the move. Campbell has had his chance but somehow he does a pretty good disappearing act to. Knicks gotta get NVE here thats all.

they'd get spree back, and courtney was simply horrible last year.
