very simple

4-22 shooting lost the game for us against a tired LA team. I dont want to hear what good things q rich has done, at some point you have to stop shooting like you're not good enough for the cBA.

jamal 24-5-4 one night

the next missed assignments and 3-12 its like you can bank on it

and people dont want steve francis to keep jamal????????????????

BRIGGS, I'm with you on getting Steve Francis. The guy is a major talent and would be FAR more consistent than Jamal.

It's almost hard to believe how bad Q's jumpshot has become. This guy LED THE NBA IN 3'S MADE LAST YEAR. He needs to sit out until he thinks he is 100%. If his back is never healthy, then fine, he's mostly useless, but if his ankle is hurting, for lord's sake, sit out until you're ready.

That's why I would play Rose at the 2 for now, and btw, Robinson is no worse than Q, and he will get better with PT.

i thought they played a good game overall... but didn't close it out... Cassell shows once again what a clutch player is supposed to do... Rose had a brain cramp in that last inbounds... ugly loss... just ugly.

Also, Robinson is top 5 in the NBA in 3pt%.

BRIGGS is subtle like that. And if you listen closely you can hear echos of "Bynum" in the air.

I have a feeling this thread is going to get ruined becuase of the Bynum talk that will ensue

I agree 100% about the wing players. I was having an offline discussion with a couple of UK guys. This was not what I though we should do, rather what I thought we would do. I was looking around at ways we could possibly get some guys in here that can defend and make plays on the wings and came up with this:

Crawford and Ariza for Kenny Thomas and a draft pick
Malik Rose, Nate and BOTH Spurs/Denver picks for Marcus Banks and Marco Jaric

I think above all else the perimeter D and lack of playing making there is killing Larry. This leaves us reasonable young but much tougher on the wing
Wings:

1)Marbury/Banks
2)Jaric/Q1
3)Rose/Q2
Bigs
Kenny T, Mo T, Frye, Lee, JJ, Curry, et al

Fish, I'm a big Marcus Banks guy and I would like ti get him here....but to me that is too much in a trade and with Banks, Jaric is redundant. I'd do Nate and the Spurs pick for Banks Str8 or Marcus and Hassell OR Hudson (defensive wing) for Rose, Nate and the Spurs pick.

I also think we can get more for Ariza and Craw then kt and a pick...i would target Miles and a pick

The backcourt is playing without the best player. Marbury has been playing better D lately too. Q is playing superb D and the guy is hurt all over the place!

in addition the bigs are playing a bit better. MRose was very good on the D last night. He should never be allowed to shoot outside the lane though.

Crawford and Ariza for Kenny Thomas and a draft pick
I don't see why any team would give up a solid player for Crawford let alone a solid player AND a draft pick.
Malik Rose, Nate and BOTH Spurs/Denver picks for Marcus Banks and Marco Jaric
I don't think Banks or Jaric has done anything impressive in this league. I'd give up Nate but not one pick for them. THREE first rounders (one just drafted in Nate) are WAY too much to give up for guys who haven't done much in this league.

Marcus has some major potential at the point, he is real big and strong and rebounds well for a guard. He and Jack, I think, are two underrated guard prospects.

Would you give up three first round picks for him though??

No...I never said I would, I would do Nate and maybe a 2nd rounder for him, or the other trade I suggested. He and Jack are VERY similiar, and they both remind me of Harp a little bit.

I know you never said you would; I was commenting on Fish's proposal. Nate and a 2nd rounder sounds reasonable. Nate and both our 1st rounders is unbelievably overpaying IMO.

Briggs - Crybaby fans stink

The Knicks stuggled in the clutch to make a pass with a guy who's been here for one practice. Were there signs of better play?
