I want the Knicks to go after Sabonis, he can help the Knicks in a big way especially in the east. He would be an ideal center for the Knicks he has basketball smarts and his passing will only benefit the Knicks. They can't let him go by without making an offer.

Portland offered him 2 years 10mil because they still own the rights to him and he is a free agent so they can resign him for the most money.

Does he want to play for them knowing Wallace is there. I think the reason he left them was because of Wallace. He doesn't like the guy and I don't blame him for leaving that sorry ass team. From what I hear Lakers are interested any truth to that.

After Wallace threw that towel at him, I wouldn't blame him for leaving them either.

he is an unrestricted free agent. they don't own his rights.

that being said. we can offer him 2 years at the mid-level exception, which would end up being 9 mil for 2 seasons.

Hoopworld reported that Blazers have offered him 6 million for next year and 2 years 10 million after that. Knicks have no chance at him.

He just became a free agent but from Portland, so Portland can sign him for whatever amount they want. he is unrestricted so Portland cant just match and keep him but i doubt he wants NY.
