The Spurs and The Suns are pretty close, the Grizzles have made some nice additions and moves but don't have the playoff success to show for it, but West suffered from the previous GM trading Otis Thrope for his pick that would have been Wade, Melo, or Bosh

But obviously people are going to make mistakes, some more than others and some are just hopeless...

There is haterade and there is stupidity, just adding talent, injured players, players with history's of problems, weight issues and selfish play tends to get people uneasy, especially when the organization doesn't trust their GM minus Dolan, so there is no haterade drinking going on just facts he has increased the payroll almost 35 million dollars and we have gotten worse every both years hes been here

That's not the issue.

GMs are judged by trades, cap management, and the draft.

Isiah is failing in all but one area.

The Bulls

They have also done pretty darn well the 3 years before (since they had no pick in 2005), had Jay Williams (2002) not gotten injured. Gordon, Deng & Duhon ALL in 2004 and Hinrich in 2003 is a good example too, I think.

Atlanta also has drafted some really nice young prospects, including Boris Diaw, who is no longer on the team. We don't know how Marvin Williams will be, but Childress & Josh Smith are looking like good players.

Presike - look again. Atlanta also traded away Pau Gasol to get Sharif Abdur-Rahim, gutted the entire roster to satisfy the new ownership committee. passed Rasheed through a revolving door for a day, and passed on Chris Paul in lieu of Tyron Lue.

Hey Earl, you're right Atlanta has done a terrible job, in general with their team for years. However, recently they have drafted some high potential players and not traded them...at least yet. Sharif Abdur-Rahim for Gasol was 4 years ago, though (2001). Gasol didn't exactly suddenly turn around the Grizz either, as they sucked for some time, until they got Hubie Brown.

Since 2003 they have drafted some nice players. Although they traded Diaw, but they got Joe Johnson in return, and the other young guys look like they have high ceilings, although they have flaws too.

I know it seems like it, and but Marvin Williams still has the chance to be a really good player. I'd have taken Paul too, but it's too soon to say whether or not Williams is going to suck or not. Look at how great Damon Stoudamire did as a rookie. Everyone was all high on him, and now look at him compared to Kevin Garnett, Wallace, and even Stackhouse, who were all picked ahead of him.

It's too early to pass judgement on Paul vs. Williams, yet.

Atlanta is awful.

They got JJ for Diaw and 2 no. 1's. Isiah would get shot for that. or hung. Or shot then hung.

Just like Mussilini. In Italy, not the south.

Pau is a near allstar.

All teams phuch up drafts. Its part of the gig. And make bone head moves.

We are cellar dwellers right now and the view from here stinks.

It will change.

Are you kidding. The jury is still out on Jefferson. Gerald Green is now playing in the Development League. West is ok at times (came out a year too early). Ainge has just about as many blunders as Thomas. They made the playoffs due to the play of Pierce.

where, on Knick boards?

Gerald Green is now playing in the Development League.

he is a highschooler and a major talent. He won't be there forever

West is ok at times (came out a year too early).

He was a junior. they went 28-1. he got drafted as a first rounder which means guaranteed money. he is starting avg 11 pts 4.2 assists 4.2 rebs 1.2 stls and .76 blocks. fg% 49.6 40.3 from 3 80.4% from the line in just his sophmore year. he plays on both sides of the ball.

Ainge has just about as many blunders as Thomas.

Ainge has been adding draft picks and not adding enormous payroll as he blew it up from day 1. In the process he has still made 2 play-off appearances in his first 2 years as GM and has an Atlantic Division crown. Thomas...not exactly

They made the playoffs due to the play of Pierce.

well Mark Blount wasn't going to take them there. Wish we could've said the same about our star last season.

We're talking about the relative merits, and draft records of other GMs. Stay on point.

McK1 - Kobe?

Wasn't he drafted by Charlotte ....?

Bootleg Post from my friend emann

# I say we should rest STEPH through the All-Star recess, but I can't wait to see him team up with JALEN.

I still find those folks who insist that ZEKE has had more than enough time to build a winner enormously ignorant.

When you look at the state of the teams that DANNY AINGE, LARRY BIRD and JOHN PAXSON inherited and compare talent and cap space limits of those teams compared to the conditions that LAYDEN left behind. How can anyone in their right mind expect ZEKE to surpass what his counterparts have achieved?

Neither of these clubs has made it to their division finals in fact each has taken a step backward, yet the same people that wink at their mediocrity keep ZEKE constantly in their cross-hairs.

Double standard? Personal agendas? Latent racism?

Nope!

It is purely my imagination.
