Don't you think that's a separate issue, based on conditioning, foul trouble, and not playing the way Larry wants him to?

Sorry, I just don't think it's fair to compare the two. they play totally different styles/positions. tell me the next time Paul gets 5 blocks or holds Yao scoreless in the second half.

now, if you were to say why is Eddy Curry averaging 11.4 rebs/48, when Old Man Shaq is averaging 15.4 rebs/48 and he's like 11 years older and hobbled, I would no comeback whatsoever. And I would probably cry.

i think you understand the point of this thread. eddy curry averaging 6.5 rebs a game is just unnacceptable. kurt thomas, one of the most hated pf's in knicks history by some on these messageboards averaged about 10 rebs a game almost every year. kurt doesn't have 1/2 the physical presence nor the athletic tools as eddy curry but has about 10x the drive. i'm not hating on him. he just needs to MAN UP, especially when a 5'10 pg can get in there and mix it up to grab 1 less per game. conditioning, minutes on the court, all of that matters. he can't stay on the court b/c of conditioning. that's the story when he was 18 and now when he's 23. he needs to get a kick in the ass.

it's a fair way of comparing players who play different minutes. for rebounding, obviously the longer you are out there the more you will get. Curry has the same rebounds per 48, or rebounding rate, as Bosh, Odom and Gasol and he's ahead of guys like Nowitzki, Brad Miller, PJ Brown and Rasheed Wallace. per 48 doesn't work as well for scoring because it's hard to put up a lot of shots without destroying your team's offense, see Kobe, but for rebounding it makes sense.

hey, Isles, Denver is losing at Golden State and Utah and Minnesota won tonight. Ever closer to a lotto pick from Toronto.

I wouldn't trade Curry for any of them.

With an asking price of 2 potential lottery picks, 2 high second rd picks, a player who avgs 13.3 rebs per 48 and a large expiring contract, I'm sure every OTHER general manager in the NBA wouldn't trade for Curry.

Do me a favor and don't pretend that one trade has anything to do with the other.

Yeah, maybe we can draft another role player or suit model. How exciting.

Who has done a worse job given the time they have been afforded to succeed: Isiah or Milbury?
