I've only seen him play a couple of times and I wasn't THAT impressed. Anybody have any more experience watching him? Is he really worth going after this hard?

Watson might not be better offensively but as far as defense and making good decisions on the court he is a lot better than craw.

Watson is one of my favorite players. Shammond Williams is still one of my favorite players. That dude is playing for the best team in Europe right now. So I dunno if you can take my word for it cuz its tainted.

Watson would instantly fit these knicks. If I can say anything about the dude he is a tough player. He showed he can guy the three this year in Denver. As far as that that guy is a knick in his heart and he doesn't even know it.

Watson's contract is much better than Crawford.
Watson's game fits what we (LB) need more than Jamal.
Watson's position could allow a Marbury trade where we deal from strength
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I have a good buddy who is a die hard Jason Williams fan so I watched about 15-20 Memphis games last year as well as all the playoff games.

Its easy to see why Watson is popular. He takes care of the ball, he's tough, hustles and plays very hard.

I do think people mistake him playing very hard on D with him playing very good on D. IMO he's Charlie Ward with a less reliable 3 pointer. Ward also played his heart out but is wasnt like he was shutting anyone down. I seem to remember Mark Jackson, Tim Hardaway, Alvin Williams, Avery Johnson, etc all having big series against him.

I guess the question is whats the trade? Watson isnt giving you an offense, and he's not guarding 2's so where does he fit on this team?

Watson compared to Ward is fair I guess. Watson is alot more creative than Ward ever was.....still Ward in his NY years would be a welcome addition to these Knicks.

I would definately try to get him if denver takes back Q.

One's a scorer who can handle pointin short spurts. One's a backup point that's not very good but does good work when he's in. No point in doing the trade. You can definitely get better for Crawford.

Trade crawford and that awful contract. The guy shoots 40% from the field and averages 3 turnovers a game.
I want to leave something that's going to stand for a long timeI want to leave a legacy,I want to leave tradition.I want to leave an imprint,a blueprint in terms of how people play, and how they coach and how they respond when they put on the Knick uni.

I see that you want Crawford traded, but that reasoning is horrible. Most PG's average around 3 turnovers a game and shoot around 40%.

Crawford is one of the worst 2 guards in the league. For all the money they gave him and he shoots 40% from the field. This guy stinks, he plays one great game followed up by 3 bad one's. Between him and Quentin i don't know who puts up more bricks.

Watson is good backup PG. Should you pay good backup PG's 6 mil a year? No way. But that's what he makes. He's a little like Charlie Ward, but not quite as strong.

i'd much rather go after Brevin Knight than Earl Watson... he's the type of PG this team needs.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I think we all know offensively Crawford is very talented and very inconsistant.. it's his defense that's godawful

I know that he isn't as offensively talented as you say. The guy cannot shoot the rock. Brick after Brick. It's not like he is going to get a better jumper in a few years. Between him and Fat Quentin I don't know who plays worse D.

Crawford is FAR worse than Q Rich on D. Q at least tries on D and has some good stretches. Craw views defense as a chance to relax and plan his next turnover.

I suppose crawford's 50 pt game doesn't count FI? He's just as streaky as starks was, and i know you loved starks... everyone does.

Q is a good on ball defender who is very physical and is tough to deal with as opposing players try to get position... he's been hobbled lately by his back but he still played James pretty well.

Maybe they're both streaky scorers but they have nothing else substantive in common. Crawford is one of if not the softest player in the league. Starks was as tough as they come. He was a tough defender who didn't mind contact, fought vigorously through screens and moved his feet as fast as he dould to keep his defender in front of him. On offense he ferociously attacked the rim and never feared contact.
