Because the team is supposed to be rebuilding, but he doesn't give the young players much PT. He has repeatedly told the press that he prefers to play veterans.

Rich - do you actually put your trust what is said in the press as the gospel truth?

You ain't as smart as I thought you were.

I think Larry is a good (great) coach of veteran teams.

With this group? Pitino.

What he tells the press is exactly what he does in practice.

My guess is Curry, Q Woods, and the 5 1st rd picks from the 2005 and 2006 drafts. Marbury would be a crucial veteran for about 4 more years and Ariza and Butler still have a chance to be part of the long-term picture. It's a young core with a lot of potential but also a lot of flaws.

how confident are you that if they were moved, we would be getting something better in return?

i dont think a trade would be made unless we got something better in return, as per most isiah trades.

Don't you get the impression Isiah greatly values the young players? He wasn't willing to give them up to get Artest and he talks about them a lot. I suspect we'd have to be getting something VERY good for Isiah to trade them.

I would trade Frye to get Sheldan Williams. My bet is LB would do that in one second as well. Lee I want to keep. Nate is more for a team that plays an open game like Phoenix GS maybe Toronto etc... kind of like what earl boykins does in Den--he has a chance to be better than boykins. so I would trade him. Trevor trade-no chance to play here, contract is up--need the roster space... Butler keep for dirt cheap or possibly trade

I get the impression that LB is telling IT to F off with the young guys.

Briggs, I wouldn't. A 6'11" guy alseady showing in his rookie year capability of hitting the outside shot, mixing in an inside game, going for 30+, shooting high percentage??? Give this guy a chance, he's right now the victim of playing on a crap-ass team that can't keep on the same track 2 nights in a row.
