Guys,

We have got to stop complaining about the salary Cap situation. The New York Knicks will never be under the Car. That's reality. New Your Fans (Me included) have never had the patience to rebuild. IT is rebuilding and we have to be patient. I have seen every thing from Fire LB to trade Marbury on these posts and you gus sound Crazy. For years we, as knick fans, have complained about not having a Point Guard. Now we got one and everybody wants to trade him. WTF?? Marbury is a top 10 PG talent. Tell me who we are gonna get to replace him (Do you guys want Ward and Childs back)? The Knicks have a young and upcoming team IMO. We went from one of the oldest, shortest, Slowest teams in the league to one of the Youngest, most athletic (See Below)How long was the Jordan Bulls bad before they started winning. How about the Kings or the Nets or the Pistons or the Spurs or the Mavs or the Nuggets or the Cavs, to name a few. All of these teams were horrible, not for 5-8 years but for 10-20 years. Guys, we have a young team and it takes time. We got lucky in the 80s and 90s with starks and Mason and players like that but some times it takes some time. Anyway, sorry I went on so long but I'm just tired of all these negative posts. O and by the way; who cared about Billups (5th Team), hamilton and wallace (3rd Team)before LB got there???? We have a great coach guys!!!!!Let him work.

When IT took over

Starting 5

KT
McDyess (Was Hurt)so actually Sweetney
KVH (Only Player I miss)
Houston (Was Hurt)so actually Anderson
Ward

Starting 5 (or Future stating 5)

Curry (23 and will be a studd)
Frye (Young and lots of potintial)
Rose (Brings some attitude, we have missed since spree)
Crawford (Young and has a chance to be real good under prown)
Marbury (Solid top 10 talent, and from NY)

and we have good young talent on the bench
Woods, Robinson and lee

It's so obvious that we won't with this ownership. I don't get where people say we can't take back more contracts past 2007-8 so we can make a run at FAs. They're not living in the reality of this team's ownership.

Just because the team won't get under cap doesn't mean we have to accept that and not voice our opinions. As fans we need to call out when we see bull**** or a team doing the wrong thing.

Fine. Then say something like "We should do this to get under the cap, but I know we won't." Don't treat it like a legit possibility with this ownership

The main factor here is we'll never win a championship under the current ownership.. Dolan is a bum and Isiah has no skills as a pres/G.M. Mills is also a fool..

The Future. GO KNICKS!

its not so farfetched to be under the cap. by packaging the 2 1sts we have next season along with cash, we can probably move at least 2 of these guys(malik, jj, qrich, jc) for an expiring or a contract that expires next year. thats all it would take to be under the cap in 07/08

You're missing the point. You're focusing on whether or not the team could theoretically get under the cap while ignoring that that has never been, is not, and never will be this team's ownership's way of doing things.

what you say makes sense, but I dont agree with that outlook, becuase to me saying the knicks will never be uner the cap is like saying the knicks will never be top tier team, its just hard to accept. and another thing I wouldnt be so sure that dolan wouldnt get under the cap, why wouldnt he? becuse we would have to become a bad team for a while? we already have been a bad team for a while. recently, during the sexual harrassment ordeal, dolan said something to the affect of "I support Isiah and his long term plan", if that is true than he has probably changed his stance on rebuilding.

i agree that this team is going to be good, is young, is well coached, just needs time. but whoo-ee are they a painful to root for these days...still i think they're going in the right direction. maybe a bit of a logjam of swingmen tho

We're well coached? Really? Where's the evidence for that? Is it leading the league in turnovers, the horrible D, or quitting down the stretch of games?

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

You guys are treating this like Dolan thinks the current situation is problematic. Knicks' ownership is making more money than all of us combined can imagine. They have no reason from their perspective to change plans.

With an outlook of things arent gonna change you might as well not be a fan anymore.

You are sayin, hey this is your team, it will asways suck, stop complaining. Well if thats truly the case, and I'm beginnin agree with you that it is, I arent wasting my time on this sorry franchise.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?
