Isiah's next move should be getting Marbury out of here. I like Marbury, but he doesn't fit with this rebuilding team. By the time were ready to win (if that makes sense) Marbs will be in the late stages of his prime.

I would ship Marbury to Houston, for expiring contracts ( Maybe Howard and Mutombo, not sure when their contracts expire but I'm sure its pretty soon) and there unprotected pick this year. With T-mac in and out of the lineup and Marbs bum shoulder, they may end up in the lottery.

Next I'd ship Lee, Penny and maybe Ariza to the Bulls for Chandler. Chandler, Curry and Frye compliment each other perfectly. Chanlder is a terrific help defender, rebounder and shot blocker. He's 7ft, long and athletic not to mention he's only 23, a yr older than Lee.

Knicks will have three picks in this yrs draft and one of them a lotto pick. I'd select Rondo or Marcus Williams with the lotto pick to be our future pg. I'd pefer Rondo because he has the knack for making big plays down the stretch pluse he's better defensively than Williams.

With the second pick, I would target a sg. Ronnie Brewer may be gone so I'd look at Brandon Rush (also may be gone) Brandon Roy or if Roby comes out (He reminds of Hamilton, he's a ligths-out shooter) I'd snatch him up.

Jalen Rose becomes an asset because maybe we can move him next yr for a Sf (maybe Lewis?)

yeah, the Knicks have looked great since Marbury went down. they have so many players who can penetrate and run the offense.

gimmeabreak. Marbury is one of the best pick and roll players in the league. he gets Frye, Curry and Craw easy points.

We're 14-and 30 with Marbs running the point. We've been losing since he got here. This team is a mess, and he's the only player(despite his bloated contract) that could bring some value back, preferably a lotto pick.

Marbs just doesn't fit this rebuilding process. I know we need a pg but this season is in the toilet anyway. Trade in hopes of getting a young pg in the draft who could grow with the team nxt yr.

Has Marbury played/been healthy during this current stretch? No. He made the playoffs his first year here despite losing Houston and KVH. Last year was a disaster sure, and so is this one. Last year sucked, but this year has been more of a function of having 10 new players trying to learn to play together under a demanding coach. I don't think this is a rebuilding process, it's a learning process. We have talent here, it needs to learn to play together.

I'm with crzy all the way. He's playing good LB ball. Worst case scenario is he becomes overpaid in a couple of years. He's still great at attacking the rim, finding open shooters and taking care of the ball. He's also playing good D for the first time in a long time this year, and he missed his first games in like 5 years. Marbury is the LAST thing wrong with this team.

He's the only stablizing piece we have.

I would look to do something like Crawford/Mo T for Miles/Ratliff and a future pick.

I think DJ mentioned Miles and I think he would thrive as a Prince type player under LB

We can't win without Marbury. Want to see 14-68? Want to guarantee the most lotto balls for CHI-town? I mean we don't have to gift them the #1 pick lets try to win some games and show the young kids how to win at this level so we go into next year on a positive.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Ummmm No.. WHY? How is it that Marbury doesn't fit with this team? If anything, he is exactly the kind of player LB want's on his team. He is stubborn, and is not the truest definition of a point guard.. BUT, he is a warrior type of player. He is tough minded.. if anything We need to trade some of these other cats first. I'm not opposed to trading Starbury fot the right deal (Allen Iverson.. lol) or a superstar caliber player, but trading him just for the sake of trading doesn't help this team.

I think Curry, Frye, Marbury, and Rose are keepers. Every other player on this roster should go 1st for the right deal.. Craw and Q-Rich (1 has to go), Ariza needs to be dealt... AND any combo of other players, for defensive minded players that can score but don't need to dominate the ball, or jack up wild shots to be effective.

Prince was a smart player way before he met Larry Brown.

Miles developing the kind of feel Prince has for the game just b/c Brown is his coach is laughable.

As much as people try and depict Brown as Doctor Frankenstein, he is not. He can not magically install a brain in Miles just like he hasen't been able to install one in Crawford or Nate or Curry. And so all "i's" are dotted, he may have roots in Kansas but those roots do not include the chirp number for Dorothy, Toto, or the Wiz.

no way, next thing to do is to package QRich or malik or JJ with a 1st round pick+cash to get a contract that expires this year or next.

First off, Isiah said this team is rebuilding.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm not content with having a team thats only capapble of getting the 8th seed of the playoffs. Marbury lead us to the 8th seed (with a racord under 500) and we were embarrassed by the nets.

I thought the idea was to build a championship team? Knicsk are a half-*** team right now. Half young players (mostly role players) and half veteran castoffs with bad contracts. Isiah needs to commit one-way or the other. I say rebuild

This team has so may holes. We need a legit sg (who can shoot, and defend) we need a legit sf, we need a pg, and we need a shotblocking-rebounding Pf. Exactly how are we going to go abut getting these players? By the time these young players are ready to win, Marbs will be on the other side of his prime. Marbury has alot of milage on that body.

The picks we have now (denvers 20, and spurs 27-28) are only going to get us more role players. Role players are essential but only if you have elite players on the team for them to support. Moving Marbs for a potential lotto pick and sheding his bloated contract will help this team tremendously. That would give us three picks and a chance to start filling in on those massive O-Zone-like holes we have on this team.

@ Kam77 whats the difference between being 14-68 and 30-52? Either way, were on the wrong side of the playoffs looking in.

Hey, don't you think it's funny that with the Knicks' season in the toilet, no other team out there has inquired as to the availability of Marbury? At least we haven't heard anything... You figure we'd hear something by now, some team calling Isiah, maybe one of these teams out there that are probably a playoff team but want to make a serious run (Rockets, Gizzlies, T-Wolves, etc.). But nothing... I mean maybe people have been calling Zeke about Marbury and we just don't know it, but it's doubtful - someone like a Stephen A. Smith, Peter Vesey or the folks over at Hoopshype.com would have it the next day. It just seems weird to me. We're talking about a top 5 PG talent in his prime. He can definitely help one of these clubs. Very suprised nobody's been calling, trying to feel Zeke out. Weird huh?

How about Q and Curry for Odom and Bynum? (legit trade)

Briggs I know that will make you happy...
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
