interesting
Wang is wanted

Wang Zhizhi's advisor, Simon Chan, said the Warriors, Knicks, Heat and Trail Blazers are among the teams interested in the Mavs' restricted free agent. In six games with the Warriors' summer-league team last month, Wang averaged 12.5 points and six rebounds in 28.2 minutes. That includes scoring 14 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in a game against the Grizzlies.

I would be happy with Wang but I wonder what price tag he has.

Ive seen Wang in maybe 5 Dallas games and I wasnt impressed at all. He seems to be a timid player. He has a nice stroke from the outside but I really didnt see him post up that well. He was nowhere near the skill of Aryvidis Sabonis.

He's not your prototypical center and we don't need another perimeter center, but he does have size and he's young. Also, we should consider the fact that him drifting away from the basket gives McDyess more room around the basket to create without having to worry about double teams. Wang Zhi-Zhi shot very well from the outside last season and that could be a big advantage for us.

I like the creative ideas of getting Arvydas Sabonis, but the guy is ancient. I dont know how much he could contribute.

Well Dallas is loaded with big men and they used Wang more as a SF then as a center. The reason why he got drafted though is the inside outside game he displayed while in China. Wang is a center and has a good back to the basket game. I guess this talk from team interested in his game stems from his summerleague play where he once again showed the complete skillset that got him drafted.

He truly is a center and has more then a face the basket game you could see him do in Dallas as a SF.

no way that either team would give us those players - or else they'd cost us either spree or houston.

for elden, wesley, courtney alexander: houston + ward/eisley
miller + austin croshure: spree + thomas
